Fable
Gilded Apples; Chapter 1
The car finally comes to a stop. I study the line of cars we've parked next to. I still wasn't quite sure what was going on. Quinlynn wanted me to go with him though. Maybe she was already here waiting to explain everything. She had mentioned a change coming.

An Autumn Night
Linore bounded through the shadowed recesses of the aquarium, carving a path through the crowd. She stumbled to a stop and found herself standing in front of a large, curved tank. Her eyes trailed up its glistening surface, taking in the vast array of colors splashed throughout the sparkling blue water. In it was a massive live coral reef that stretched past the ceiling of the room. She tried to follow the structure to the top of the tank with her eyes, but they failed her and she could only see it towering above her before continuing in a blur into the distance.

Waters of Eden
It had always been known that there was something special about the aquarium. Whether it be in the way the light fractured as it tumbled through the water, casting a miracle of colors and patterns on the wall behind the glass, or in the way the fish, normal upon arrival, once in the aquarium, grew to untold sizes, their scales becoming deep and vibrant, their bodies gliding through the blooming sea grass with a newfound passion for life. These things were well observed but never discussed. Even the staff, once they had dipped a hand in the liquid blue, grew happier, luckier, and more successful. But what was truly of miraculous nature, was what came of the waters after the explosion of worlds.

Aqua Vitae
This is the life for me. When you come into this building at the zoo and pass by the fourth section nearest to arctic life – yeah, I know exactly where they put me – you see me, a beautiful octopus. Call me Frank. The media calls me that, and I think that it is a pretty good name (more about it later).
