Prompt 1
A bell jingles above the door as Professor Rowena and I enter the shop of a notorious dealer in unregistered magical artifacts, just the place to acquire a focus for the new student of the College of the Eight . "A focus." Rowena begins as we approach the counter. "One of the most important tools for any caster. They come in many forms, however one must form a bond with their focus to access it's true potential." She waves her hand over a glass counter directing my attention to all sorts of wands, bejeweled rings, even crystal orbs. There must be over 100 trinkets in here, all doing their own thing.

Dirty Love Story II
My life was very perfect until that morning when he walked in, it was like everything about him was the wrong thing. Earlier that day, before I came to the office, I woke up to a little late because Anna and I went partying the previous night. We stayed up all night just going from club to club and trying to get wasted. And as punishment for such reckless living, I had a hangover—that banging pain, and a mild distortion of reality. Anna seemed pretty fine.

A Passage Through Time (Part One Of A Three-Part Short Story.)
The cold fingers of darkness that spelled the approaches a frosty November night, had steadily crept upon the village silently, and ever so suddenly, making Jamie feel a little uneasy and on-edge with herself. She had already been in bed just a little over three hours since falling asleep. But, she had already turned off the television in her lounge at just after 11 o'clock last night and had seen the dimness of daylight fade into night as sat curled up on her sofa.

Earth Elemental
Kendal followed behind Sean along with the rest of the group, Gordan walking at her side. He’d been silent on the car ride and she was still too freaked out and confused herself to attempt conversation. The group had gone back to the bar and piled into their cars. She’d ridden with Gordan because he’d gotten her into this but also because no one else had offered. They’d taken a zig-zag route through downtown and then had taken the highway for about forty minutes into a city she didn’t recognize. They’d parked in an underground garage in the business district and walked the rest of the way. Although Gordan occasionally looked over his shoulder, the rest of the group didn't seem concerned that anyone was following them.
