A Surfeit of F*cks. Top Story - May 2022.
A Surfeit of F*cks Welcome to America One bright morning in April 2021, I had just exited a ramp and was merging with traffic. It seemed one of the other drivers was going to sideswipe me and so I laid hard on my horn and simultaneously yelled, “F*UCK YOU!!” They couldn’t have heard me, both our windows were up, the expressway thundered with the noise of dozens of cars. Still, it felt good to say that out loud. That wasn’t the first time I hurled that expletive in the 6 years I’ve been in the United States. It’s been a surfeit of f*ucks in God’s own country.

How To Be Interviewed
I used to interview a lot of people. It was sort of my job. Well, if I’m honest, my job as a working journalist was to get from a particular point A to a particular point B. Point A involved me frantically flailing around as I hunted for ideas to pitch to various publications. Point B was taking those ideas and making something that didn’t suck. But interviewing was the road between A and B. As a working journalist, I couldn’t write my stories without interviews.

Why You Don’t Need to Watch the News
It is soon to be summer again, our third one since the lockdown and arrival of Covid-19, and we all feel the need to relax, stretch and take time off from work and responsibilities if we can. We need to step away from the noise of our lives and consider what is real and what matters.

Time to Pump The ABS — Umps — YOU’RE OUT!
Its time. We’ve waited long enough. For over 100 years, human umpires calling balls, strikes, fair, foul, safe, or out, were a necessary element of the game of baseball. Because they’re only human, we also had to accept that on occasion, they would make human errors and blow calls.

Where have all the good books gone?
Where have all the good books gone? Books are an important part of our overall development. Books, printed or digital, reduce stress, strengthens the brain, and build vocabulary. The stories teach us lessons about the world, about ourselves, express feelings and thoughts of both information, and transport us to a new place in our imaginations with fantasy.

History: VCRs, Beepers, and Telephone Booths
It’s hard to imagine that the 80s are now a part of history. If you lived in the 80s you know how different some things were. We took everyday things for granted, we thought they would always be around. When you are living in the moment it can be hard to think otherwise.

110 Years of Titanic Tales. Top Story - April 2022.
“Then suddenly he felt a curious motion break the steady rhythm of the engines. It was a little like coming alongside a dock wall rather heavily. He glanced forward—and stared again. A windjammer, sails set, seemed to be passing along the starboard side. Then he realized it was an iceberg, towering perhaps 100 feet above the water. The next instant it was gone, drifting astern into the dark.”
