Who knew that a nonagenarian could be cool? Apparently, Marvel did when Stan Lee first started an incredible string of cameo appearances in a range of Marvel television shows and movies, beginning with 2008's Iron Man. Now, kids and adults alike can't imagine a Marvel movie without him, though it's widely believed that Lee's final cameo will be in the as-yet publicly untitled Avengers 4.

Stan Lee
We all have lost something in our lifetimes. It’s undeniable. Something or someone has disappeared from our hearts and left behind a hole, whether small or gaping. By the time we “grow-up,” something has stuck with us for so long that we hold onto it so tightly and feel empty when it is gone. While heroes like Spiderman, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, and Deadpool will forever reside within my nerdy little heart, their creator, and, by extension, the greatest hero to have ever walked this Earth is gone. Never again will we witness new, entertaining cameos, new heroes, or new comics from the legendary writer, creator, editor, and publisher of Marvel Comics. At the ripe age of 95 years old, Stan Lee has left this world for the next.

Many of his stories featured a flawed hero facing insurmountable odds, enduring hardships, standing up for what is right, and somehow always managing to come out stronger than they were before. His stories were always meant to inspire readers to choose what’s right over what’s easy.

The Romance of 'Ghost'
I remember the first time I saw the movie Ghost. Right away, it reminded me that I have very close ties with the world beyond, as all members of our family had. I have seen, heard and felt spirits. It has been a really good feeling knowing that there is so much more to life than what we know and see. You cannot imagine how wonderful it is to hear a voice that is dear and familiar to you whispering your name—and knowing that even though they have crossed over they are still nearby. I have read, and also believe, that there is that threshold somewhere just beyond our reach that separates our world from the next.
