Someone Who Fakes It 'Til He Makes It
Even though they never explicitly admitted it, the Light Sides could agree that Deceit was able to contribute in ways that could help Thomas. Maybe that was why Roman felt it would be a good idea to hang out with Deceit every now and then. On the other hand, maybe it had something to do with them bonding over a love for theatre and a habit of lying. What has Roman lied about? Simply his insecurities of living up to Thomas's expectations and being the brave, strong Prince Thomas wanted to be. Deceit knew that Roman was suffering and was actually low-key amazed by the fact that the Prince was hurting so much and still seemed to stand so strong. Unfortunately, whenever Deceit complimented Roman as of recent, Roman never looked at his eyes, so he never seemed to believe the snake man nor did he seem to care.

Bruised Puffball
Warning: Effects of past abuse Patton and Virgil had dated since their first year of college. They were roommates and, after they both decided to make puppets in a group therapy session, they got closer socially 'til things became more than platonic for the pair. They pulled some strings to stay roommates until they both graduated college and made it obvious that they cared for one another whether they were near each other or not.

Remy at the Lunar Lounge
The year was 2091; technological advances were normal to the public and most of the homes were built high in the sky, if you have enough money, and everyone else has homes that just float up on hovering platforms big enough for a standard lawn with a protective fence. One of those people who made enough money to live in the former happens to be Remy Calloway, who was a very social bartender at a very exclusive night club. He was a charismatic night owl, so he was able to access more than just an increase in his income.

Patton Pudge
Patton and Logan have dated for several months and it reached the point where Logan felt he was free to get his emotions out to Patton without being changed to the fear of harsh ridicule. Patton was able to do the same towards Logan in return, but every look in the mirror without his shirt on made the pun lover feel he wasn't being as truthful towards Logan as he should be. He would pull down his high-waisted pants to reveal his... "Patton Pudge" coated with faint stretch marks and wondered why it wasn't possible for him to transfer his weight to someone who needed it more than he wanted it. He would lie down with his back on the bed, let gravity do its work, and even rub his ribcage in an effort to pretend that he was skinny. At the end of it all, though, no matter how much he had cut back on sweets, no matter how many dogs he walked, no matter how much lotion he put on his stomach in an attempt to hide the stretch marks, no matter how many times he'd rub his ribcage, nothing would change the fact that he wasn't skinny. He wasn't big enough to be compared to a pumpkin, but he was big enough to fear that Logan would be disgusted.

Factory Owner Heir
Roman enjoyed spending time with his boyfriend, Patton, however he could and whenever he could. They would go to the movies, check out the animal shelter, even go to the children's playground to reexplore their inner children and talk about maybe having a family in the future.

The Return of the Order—Act 1
Few demons ever create bonds with another being beyond the confines of their contracts. It’s not that they cannot, it’s just that most see no need and therefore lack the desire to do so. Most are happy to enjoy the pleasures that eternal life affords them, the ability to corrupt, to encourage the baser desires of humans, and of course, the pleasures of the flesh. However, none of these pleasures compares to the final moments of a contract when the soul they have craved finally becomes theirs; when the master draws their last breath and the demon feasts.

An Alien's Hallelujah
Logan browsed through the selections of this strange music shaman called Spotify. He could slightly see his reflection from the glass casing of the rectangular lifeline humans brought everywhere with them and every time his green skin came into view, it reminded him of the reason of the possible reasons Patton wouldn't return such strong feelings to him. He continued swiping his finger up and down through the songs that were so foreign to him as he tapped the selections. Eventually, he tapped his finger on a song selection and, after hearing someone talk about "premium payment", Logan heard a song that, if he guessed correctly, contained a lot of miracles, which is what Logan saw Patton as after so much prejudice and fear: a miracle. He thanked the "shaman" and listened to the song numerous times in order to sing it to him.

Poodle Snuggles
Deceit looked over at Logan lying down on the couch. He wasn't concerned about hiding from Logan, nor was Logan concerned about what Deceit saw. That's the thing about Logan not seeing anything as strictly good or strictly evil: just like how a couple in an extramarital affair doesn't care what the front desk worker of a hotel knows, Logan didn't care what Deceit saw or knew, as long as it wasn't necessarily addressed. What was it that Deceit saw that Logan didn't bother to hide?

The Immortal Fury Road II
"A memory of a shared and respectful glance with Furiosa, the woman who helped save the wasteland from the evil hands of Immortal Joe, ensured itself deep within the subconscious mind of the rogue warrior-cop known as Mad Max." Mad Max had resumed his journey to unknown destinations. Mad Max enjoyed quietly dreaming of his wasteland queen in his sleep. The memories of Mad Max's wife and children seemed hazy. A rogue warrior-coping cop's mechanism became blood in the sand."

Hidden Strength
Virgil wouldn't exactly say that putting up with the Dark Side of Thomas's mind for so long did him any good, but he would summon Deceit if he said that there's at least one thing he's gained from it that he's proud of. One of the things he was proud of was the fact that he was determined to protect everyone else from the other Dark Sides (as well as other potential dangers) and the other was the physical strength he had developed from a combination of self defense from his past and Thomas's heightened worries overall. The emo's need to protect his family was something he wouldn't hesitate to show as long as it's in a way that won't alter his reputation, but he didn't really bring up his physical strength. He was worried about the possibility that everyone else would associate his strength with the potential to hurt them. That being said, as much as he wanted to put an end to Roman constantly arguing with Logan on which of them was stronger (even though they were evenly matched and Patton was too polite to remind them he was stronger than both of them), he'd rather keep his mouth shut.

Halloween Hanahaki
While working in Halloween City for the season, Roman took the opportunity hang displays of bloody flower petals on the walls and place them on the shelves for decoration instead of profit. Roman's co-workers and boss praised him for the creativity, but they didn't know about the depth within his displays. The displays told a story of a man who was suffering, a man who had a co-worker that everyone tried to get him to date without knowing he's not straight, a man who longed for a local high school teacher who would only see him as an idiot, a man who had to pretend that he hated said teacher in order to live long enough to see another work day while also suffer enough to spit out another batch of bloody flower petals for his displays.

Outlandish Excuses
Warning: brief homophobia and attempted murder. Virgil was so used to guys bailing out on him after several dates. He guessed that they were trying to be nice when making up excuses for cancelling on the dates, and ceasing to contact him again afterwards. He had low hopes for dating until Roman Ellington swept him off of one foot. He would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the first few dates with Roman. They were enough to make Virgil forget the pattern from his group of exes. He voiced his concerns reluctantly to Roman as they were strolling through a greenhouse close to closing time, and Roman promised he wouldn't make outlandish claims to Virgil like his other exes had done.
