Dragon Warrior Monsters for the GBC
In this special retro review, I’m reviewing Dragon Warrior Monsters. This Gameboy Color game was originally released in Japan as Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry no Wonderland, and is the first video game in the Dragon Quest Monsters series. It was released in Japan by Enix on September 25, 1998, 2 years after Pokémon, and for some inexplicable reason, Dragon Warrior Monsters, and the whole Dragon Quest saga, just doesn’t seem to do as well in North America as some other games… games I consider to be lesser games, but anyway, this game was remade for the PlayStation as Dragon Quest Monsters 1+2 Hoshi Furi no Yūsha to Bokujō no Nakamatachi, but I’m just going to review the GBC version.

WTF Comic Books
A lowly South Yorkshire town such as the one I live in doesn't have much access to comic book conglomerates like "Forbidden Planet" and so I get my reading material from a very nice gentleman on the market. Mr Y, we'll call him, has an excellent array of stock from his many travels - some of it dating back few decades, much of it is quite obscure.

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright is a game for the Nintendo 3DS that was released in Japan in 2012 and eventually released to the rest of the world in 2014. Having been a fan of both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright, this game really peaked my interest. Even though their games are so different, they shared a fan-base and even before this game was in the works.

Crystalis for the NES
Crystalis, originally called God Slayer: Haruka Tenkū no Sonata, was released by SNK in 1990. The story begins in 1997, because that was like so far in the future waaay back then, and war engulfs the world and destroys civilization, but miraculously, someone builds a flying tower. Are you kidding?

The Nintendo Switch Is Fantastic
Let's just get this out of the way: Nintendo is a frustrating company. For every good move they make, it seems like they take a couple steps back. They don't understand the internet, they have a goldmine on their hands with the Virtual Console but they don't maximize their profits like they could. Then there was the Wii U, which died an excruciating death.

Legend of the Ghost Lion for the NES
Known in Japan as White Lion Densetsu, and based on a movie of the same name, Ghost Lion is a really cool NES RPG. This game’s mechanics are odd in comparison to other RPGs of the time, and odd in comparison with just about any other RPGs, truthfully.

I'm very excited to announce my first author of the month will be the Wattpad sensation, Madeline Stanford. I've long since been a fan of her books, ever since she joined Wattpad back in 2014. She has since won the Hot Key Books & Wattpad Young Writer's prize, as well as collecting a following 10,000 people strong. Her fiction ranges from the Vicious Depths trilogy [also known as Like Hell on Wattpad] which is now available for purchase on Amazon, to her other Wattpad novel, A Door to Nowhere, a moving coming of age tale. The Wacky World Drive-In Podcast
The Whacky World Drive-In podcast is hosted by musician/writer Robert S. Gray and by Dick Vincent of the Oak Drive-In Theater. These podcasters just started last year and have recorded 9 shows so far with plans for more in the future, currently they are on hiatus now. The hosts discuss topics such as collectables, exploitation movies, sci-fi and horror movies as well. The episodes consist of a conversation between the two hosts and are about one hour in length. Rob also has a blog site where he discusses a variety of topics; everything from music to movies, and comics. While Dick can be found on the Oak Drive-In. The blog site talks about horror, grindhouse, cult and film noir movies.

The Major Flaw in Amy's Plan in 'Gone Girl'
Alright, so recently I decided to watch the movie Gone Girl. I was actually pretty excited to watch this movie seeing as it was a thriller and contained Neil Patrick Harris in it. Yes, I am aware the movie came out in 2014 and I am now finally getting around to watching it. I guess, I just never really found an interest in it until now. So, my boyfriend and I laid down and proceeded to watch the movie which, by the way, is almost two hours and thirty minutes. It took us two days to watch it since we were not aware of this going into it.
