All of these films have a sense of nostalgia to them and it's easy to see why they are so popular since they draw from different generations of viewers.

Cruel Intentions revolved around a wager between step-siblings Kathryn (Gellar) and Sebastian (Phillippe). The wager was that Sebastian had until the end of the summer to bed their school's headmaster's daughter, Annette (Witherspoon). If Sebastian managed to sleep with Annette, then he would get to partake in a sexual encounter with the only girl he knew he would never have: Kathryn.
