Grandma Fisher's Oddities
What I'm about to tell you may sound crazy to you, but it was normal to me. The way Grandma Fisher ran the house was just the way the world worked, I had no reason to question it. Perhaps in your travels through this great nation you chanced upon a little roadside attraction called Grandma Fisher's Oddities. It's a little novelty shop along a lonely dusty road the only thing to see for miles, well except for the farmhouse and the barn and a little heat controlled building that housed my Grandma Fishers wax museum. It was her pride and joy.

The Room at the End of the Hall
Not to far away from me, off the side of a busy road, there has always been a building that stuck out in comparison to all of the others. Surrounded by contemporary buildings is a single house-like structure made of stone. It looks like something out of an old movie or a painting. When I was a small child, I was always curious about this building, but the sign outside of it changed from time to time, and, because I wasn’t able to read and I never wanted to distract my parents from paying attention to the road in front of them, I never asked.

Haunted on Ricker Hill
There was a brief moment in my childhood before I blossomed into adolescence when I was terrified to live in my house. And not just because my evil step-monster of a mother lived there, but because there was something else there. I could feel it…hell, my stepmother had, at one point, confirmed that she too could feel something in that house.

Rotted Flesh
Picture this: A world filled with dead and dying things. People, plants, everything. But I am not dead nor will I ever be. I often wonder what it would be like to be one of them — to taste human flesh, to sink my teeth into someone's trembling body. If I were to become one of these... What are we calling them, zombies? If I were to become one of these "zombies" I'd be forced to walk within the law that nothing really matters and nothing ever did. I'd be reduced to eating my own friends and family. I don't want to live like that, you know? Well, because that's not really living, I'd be dead. The fact of the matter is I'm not going to die. People count on me everyday to provide and protect. They watch my every move to ensure that their lives aren't in danger. With a whole group of people watching out for me like that, it is impossible for someone like me to die.

My First Investigation: The Diaries of a Ghost Hunter
St. Michael's Cemetery in Crewe is ancient. Records show that it dates way back to 1863, though stones have been found with dates preceding that. Through research and wandering around just looking at the stones and inscriptions I have discovered that so much history and sadness lies within the railings of this little graveyard. From the bride who died before she made it down the aisle and was buried in her wedding dress, to the soldier who died on the day the war finished, there are definitely some unhappy and unfulfilled souls laid to rest.

The Void: The Perfect Lovecraft Movie
Why had I not heard of this movie before Halloween? I really don't care what the critics say. If you check, IMDB gives this movie a 5.8/10, Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 73%, and Empire gives is 3/5. This seems like a movie to see once and forget about it. I promise you, if you have a thing for C'thulhu, Azathoth, or the Deep Ones (among other Lovecraftian monsters), you will enjoy this movie and come back to it again and again.

Return to St Michael's Cemetery | The Diaries of a Ghost Hunter
Several weeks after filming at St Michael's Cemetery, we decided to return. There is something undoubtedly fascinating about the location, and it is seemingly haunted. The EVPs I caught last time proved that several spirits still roam around. Perhaps they converse with each other? Who knows.

The Long Way Home
Running fast, running far. Not looking back, just running. Running for my life. The burning sensation in my chest. It burns to breathe in. I can't stop. I hear the footsteps close behind me. My eyes burn from the tears and sweat. My vision is getting fuzzy. Trees blurred out as I run. It almost feels unreal. The pain in my legs and chest snap me back to reality. This is real. Footsteps from behind me are more distant than before. "Keep running" I tell myself. "Don't look back, just run".

Monster or Misconstrued Mate
In Milhauser’s criticism of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, he provides evidence of the literary description of the noble savage. Milhauser believed that a reader's first thoughts about the book would be that it was a supernatural horror story, filled with Shelley’s “macabre and pseudo-scientific sensationalism.” Once the audience took more time to consider the actions and plotlines, they would see how deep each character really is and what he or she represents.

Hallow's Eve
Eli is now 15 years old, the average age of a teenage boy to stop giving a fuck about Halloween but definitely not old enough to spend the night with his rowdy friends in abandoned buildings. He’s been permanently placed on giving-out-candy duty while Mom and Emma go around the neighborhood with Emma’s friends. “Now we won’t be long, just an hour or two so don't think you can just leave without me knowing, kiddo. Make sure you pass out all the candy and be safe. You have my number if anything happens, I love you!” Emma chimes in with her tiny tongue sticking out just enough to cover his face with saliva. “YUCK! YOU’RE GONNA GET IT YOU LITTLE..” Mom stopped the fight before Eli’s intentions became afflictions. “Ok, no. We’re leaving before you two rip each other to shreds,” Mom said as agitation seethed through her teeth. And with that, they were gone.
