The plaque that had gripped the world and turning millions into zombies started out as a military weapon. Some government, no one knows which, was using a parasitic fungus to use to control enemy combatants. No one knew the fungus would kill its victims and bring them back as voracious, hungry, angry zombies. The government, no one knows which one as stated before, did not test the fungus it created on live animals but instead tested it on humans and the plaque quickly, within months had taken over the world.

All of his appendages trembled and ached in pain, as the pains of these last few days were too much on his small, plump frame. He had been through hell and back, and he had the scorch marks to prove it. He looked behind him at the only friend he had ever known. With eyes that had carried the weight of a thousand sorrows, he gave a slight smile, knowing that what he was about to do must be done.

For hundreds of years sailors have feared the darkness of the depths and the creatures that sing like angels, yet are the cruellest of all creation.
