Angel Baby
There are so many things that happen in our lives for which we simply cannot explain. For this challenge I have submitted a photograph taken over 20 years ago which captured a true surreal experience. Instead of portraying something spooky, which could potentially haunt one for a time to come; this picture embodies an angelic encounter. I have often drawn upon the positive energy emanated from this event over the years whenever I have felt down and needed a sign of hope.

Mid 2007. Amanzimtoti, South Africa. This experience took place over a period of around 5 months. My daughters would stay with their father every second weekend, and an evening midweek. He moved homes frequently, and had recently moved into a 2 bed simplex.

His heart finally stopped racing but a headache was nagging him near his right temple. Ryan stopped sobbing as the paramedics quickly arrived to help him out of his mangled convertible. Even though the car had to be towed, he felt okay and declined a ride to an area hospital.

The Ho-Chunk, or Hočągara, were a Siouan-speaking Native American people who considered all trees to be shrines. Animist druids also recognized the spirit of all things. Many cultures believed that spirits and ghosts used trees as a temporary dwelling while on Earth.

The deadline was looming and the cell phone displayed 2:00am. The final budget analysis had to be completed within the next six hours or additional project funding couldn't be extended until the following quarter. I was 22 years old, when I experienced what it was like to come face to face with my greatest fear. My fear of an evil, dark entity. A demon, evil spirit. You can call it whatever you like. Before my experience of which I am about to tell you, I didn't believe in spirits or ghosts. I knew of it, but didn't have any intention to give attention to it. Until,...I did. It started as incident as watching Markiplier on his series of playing this game, called Outlast 2. It had 9 parts, 40 minutes long each. I started watching it from 8am until the next morning of 2am. Milk
“Mary Ellen, Lillian, ya’ll take the milk up the hill to the Emmitts. Be back before dark.” The young girls, eight and seven, always loved this time of day. The elderly couple loved their visits as well. In the height of the Great Depression, it was a blessing to have a cow that gave more than enough milk for a small family and it was a blessing to the old couple on the hill to have a neighbor that owned such a cow.
