Episode 2 has already released both subbed and English-dubbed

Episode 3 has already released both subbed and English-dubbed

Episode 4 - October 19th both subbed and English dubbed

You can watch it on Adultswim or Max.

IMDb: 8.8/10

To say I was thrilled to get this anime would be an understatement. It has been talked about for so long and then canceled and then brought back. I gave up hope of seeing this in an anime and just accepted the fact that I at least have the manga. To my surprise, they worked on and released a 4 episode mini-series. The first 2 episodes were horrifying. The art was frame for frame with the manga, and it gave the overall show an uneasy feeling. Then episode 3 came out. I thought this part of the storyline was the least scary, some might say it was a bit disturbing but comparing it to the other two this one was not scary. I don't understand how pregnant women being bitten by mosquitoes go along with the spiral that is terrifying this city. I see how it was creatively folded into that storyline but I never understood it.

Aside from the storyline, the animation quality in this episode went way down. If you look closely you can see the quality declining in the second episode but it was very noticeable in the third episode. I felt as if it was Ninja Kumi all over again, They set the bar way too high at the beginning and then couldn't live up to that same quality.

The freakest part of this episode only got a minute on screen. I wish they would have tied in the death of Mitsuru Yamaguchi and his return as the Jack in the Box into one episode. They ended on such a dramatic note with him getting smashed into the wheel of a car and to our knowledge he is just dead. However at the end of the third episode he comes back for less than a minute and he is the horrific jack-in-the-box character. I think if they had shown his death at the beginning of this episode it would have been more creepy to see what became of him at the end.

I do have to say the best part of this episode was the creator Junji voicing the typhoon. I thought he did a fantastic job and it is very symbolic to have him voice this role. He is the creator of Uzumaki, without him, we wouldn't have this story. It is fitting he is voicing the destruction of the town inside the show Uzumaki. He brought this story into the world and he is now taking it out of the world, metaphorically speaking.

Overall I think you should watch it. It was still entertaining and creepy. Plus this is only a 4 episode mini-series, it isn't much of a commitment. However, If you enjoy horror anime make sure to subscribe. The week of Halloween I will be posting a new horror anime to watch every day and on Halloween, I will be creating a list of 10 horror anime to watch. I hope you are ready to make your stomach turn for 17 horror anime.

Unforgettable Tunes and Tragedy in 'Her Blue Sky'

In the first five minutes of this movie, you already will be hooked. As a female bass player, I got chills with the Bass solo intro, and there was already a dramatic death. You heard me right, Five minutes in and you will be hooked. I put this on as background noise and I got hardly any work done as I kept watching to see how the story was going to unfold.
