7 Joys for Singles on Valentine's Day
I'm just 1 person who will be alone and single on Valentine's Day. It's my choice to be single, and it's also my choice to celebrate the day in my own way. I use the day to celebrate those I love, including remembering my dear little friend, Becky, whose birthday was February 14. Because of the pandemic, I won't get to do my normal trek to her memorial tree this year and leave children's books around it for others to enjoy. But there are many ways to celebrate the holiday, whether you call it Valentine's Day, Galentine's Day, or even Palentine's Day.

With Love From Me to Me
Frome Me to Me My Anti-Valentine Playlist After a lifetime of failed relationships, at the ‘getting on a bit’ age of 60, I finally came to my senses – or a major realisation anyway. Roses are red, V- Day is Poo.
Let’s be honest, the only thing more obnoxious than Valentines Day itself is when someone calls it “ValenTIMES Day.” Either way, unless you are in a Disney movie, it is statistically better to celebrate the whole thing solo. Having a relationship with yourself just can’t be beat. Really. And buy yourself some flowers while you’re at it. You’ll get the ones you love with no strings attached.

Single in my twenties and Happy About It
I ended a two-and-a-half-year relationship in the last bit of 2020. I was single for three weeks before that relationship started, when I ended a year long relationship. I’m now twenty-one and single for the first time since I was seventeen. Even before then, I managed to be dating someone short-term around Valentine’s Day every year, since I was fifteen. I think I only got flowers from a guy once in that entire time.
