How to Make Your Success Plan for Your Career
Introduction Planning is one of those things that is both essential, but daunting. It's essential because just like a vacation trip needs a map to get to the destination, so does a career, but it's daunting because most people don't actually know where they want to go in their lifetime. Time and time again I have asked people the simple question of "What are your goals in life?" and I get either a blank stare of "How dare you ask the question," or the person tells me they've never thought about it. Very rarely do I get someone to answer with a detailed plan; so in this article, I will be discussing the steps required to make a successful plan for your career, as is often discussed in the Jordan Harbinger Show.

Smaller Isn't Always Easier
I've been producing short films on and off since 2005, and coming off the back of my first feature film and going back to a short (albeit one of half-hour length, so not your typical short film project) I can say that just because a project is small in size, doesn't necessarily make it easy going. There's a misconception that features are more difficult, and more worthy of your time, but short films come with their own challenges, that if met head-on, can be really rewarding.

If you do not have your own blog, I absolutely encourage you to make one because a blog is something that can be very helpful to others and that's why I do my best when I write. I like to provide the best for my readers who like my work and I also like to provide the best because it's benefiting others and it's getting me a name online, which is good. It also makes me some money, which I know you are interested in so let's get started!

Little Miracles
So I am about to get really personal here. I am not even sure if I should be on this site. It all boils down to two things: one—will I even get the amount of money that they appear to promise, and two— should I even be writing for the sake of money? In all seriousness, I do not want to write for the money alone. Writing specifically for money is a big no-no for me because, in my experience, that sucks all the flavor from the writing. When writing for money, the writing itself can become tasteless and bland because of the weight of everyone's expectations—it's like preparing the perfect meal: when you have too many different seasonings, it all becomes too much.

Work-Life Balance
When I first started working; what now seems so very long ago... there was nothing at all in my mind leading me to believe I could work too much. I wanted to work, I had become bored with school, I was not learning anything, and just needed to experience the world as it was. I needed to learn the things of life, I wanted to break free from the tyranny of my parents' regime, and become my own person.

Don't Rely on Your Spellchecker
Weather you are posting a page to your Website, writing a letter or sending an email to a customer, or submitting an article for publication, it is extremely important for you to demonstrate how professional you are. Not only does a series of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors show a discourtesy to your readers, it makes you look amateurish. Potential customers will lose any trust that they may have had in your business. Only a week or so ago, I read a classified ad asking me to visit their "sight"—needless to say I did not bother. If someone does not take care over their advertising, how reliable is the rest of their business?
