Emerging Ghanaian painter gained the attention of art enthusiasts in China
Boateng was born and raised in a town of Kwadaso, Ghana, and was introduced to painting by the local artist Sam Otu living next door, who painted houses and created hand-painted signage for a living. Encouraged by Otu to continue practicing to improve on his talent, Boateng pursued visual arts at secondary school and then went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in painting at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Over the following year, Boateng has explored in diverse ways and painted in realistic, abstract, impressionist as well as post modernist styles before developing his unique style, which is characterized by the bold use of colour. He has exhibited his artworks in a number of venues in his home country.

The Artist Principle
What is the artist's principle? The principles of art (or the principles of design) are essentially a set of criteria used to explain how the visual elements are arranged in a work of art. These principles are possibly the closest thing we have to a set of objective criteria for analyzing and judging art.

From the Eyes of the Mambabatok's Apprentice
Me and My Ancestral Skin Markings on my wrist. I come from a bougie ass family that owns a resort in the Philippines where I needed to mind my p’s and q’s and constantly be a proper lady. In my private secret thoughts, my escape from placating the hollow, self-important people of our family business was getting tattoos. In the modern Philippines, tattoos are still not viewed in a positive light. One drunken night, I got my first tattoo in West Palm Beach with my friends where I had to forge my mother’s signature to get it done. It was a discreet, hideable tattoo on my lower back. Of course, it didn’t stop there, I acquired more hideable tattoos, but after more than two years of hiding my tattoos from my mother, my sister outed me, and my angry mother responded with, “Tattoos are for pirates, prisoners, and whores!” Of course, my snarky side got the best of me, “What if I wanted to be a pirate prisoner whore?” I can still remember vividly the sting of that slap across my contemptuous mouth. My rebellion had been satisfied, but there was still a yearning for something deeper. For years I languished in a superficial understanding of the markings of pirates, prisoners, and whores.

The Scribblers
I come from a family of artists, so naturally, that was the path that I wanted to take. Both my grandmothers are gifted painters. My parents musicians. My sister can make the most realistic portraits I've ever seen with only a mechanical pencil. So, as you can imagine, I was confused when my hand would not make the elaborate work of art that lived in my brain. Why couldn't I steady my hand to draw a smooth line? Why couldn't I draw noses? Why did my proportions look so...weird?

BLACK MEDICINE TATU
My name is Karleigh aka Indigo Fox. I am born, raised, and based in Miami, Florida. I create across many mediums and am the founder of “Black Medicine Tatu”. The focus of my work is self exploration and self expression. I believe that by studying our primal past and possibilities of the future we discover how to live in the present moment. I have been creating since my mom “also an artist” taught me to draw as a child.

Why do we need more documentaries in today’s world?
Can you just take a second and imagine an average statistical film-admirer? Probably that’s a person who adores influential Hollywood movies which are usually popular book adaptations or something directed by authoritative filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, or David Fincher. No one doubts that most of the movies they create are masterpieces which usually help you satisfy your esthetical needs and boost your imagination.
