Let It Go!
I'll always remember how much moving to California made me a minimalist. I moved four times that first year. It was the first time I moved cross country from my home state of Texas. At the time, I told myself whatever I couldn't fit into my Explorer I wouldn't take with me. I didn't realize it then but I was preparing myself for a long journey which involved packing light. What I ended up taking with me was mostly clothes, kitchen stuff, and music. I even had a blow-up mattress that I could fold up so it would be compact. I was naturally becoming a minimalist! Now, seven years later, I've lived in a total of six places in this city! Even though I have furniture now, I've still managed to keep things to a minimum.

Setting Up Your Home Emergency Kit
Are you an experienced over-packer? A certified precautionist? Me too. And there's no need to feel bad about it! Tips for Thrift Shopping
1. Research local stores and sale dates. To start, find out more information about your local thrift stores. Typically, there is more than one around where you live. I know I have at least five in a 20 mile radius of my house. And with each store, come unique sales. Explore which stores have better deals than others, or when each store has sales. My favorite local thrift shop releases a calendar mapping out their sales, and makes sale shopping rather easy. If your second hand store doesn't do this, ask an employee to inform you of future sales and write them down.

Planning a Wedding on a Budget
So, you are engaged!!! Well, let me be one of the first to say congrats. You are taking the next step in both of y'all's lives. Now comes the part that most brides look forward to: planning the wedding. Well, planning a wedding is a lot of work, but it can be fun, too. However, in order to keep from going overboard, you need to make a budget. This is something that I did not do in the beginning, so I have no idea how much I actually spent on my wedding in June 2017. First step is to set a date. Make sure it is far enough out so you not only have time to plan the ceremony and reception, but by setting the date out several months, it also gives family members or friends that do not live close to plan their trip ahead of time.

Super Surprising Life Hacks with WD-40 You Can Use. Top Story - January 2018.
WD-40 is literally a miracle worker in a can. It can help you in many situations if you don't exactly know where to turn to. However, if you don't know what it is, WD-40 is the trademark name for a spray that penetrates oil and displaces water that gives surfaces lubrication and protection against moisture. Meaning it can remove stains, glue, marks, etc. off of surfaces. It's also a great lubrication when you're dealing with a sticky or jammed situation.

Under Ten Project Series: DIY Marbled Mugs
This is the second in my series of cheap DIY projects that are easy and so much fun for under $10. These marbled mugs are beautiful and remind me of the glazes that I used in my college ceramics class. The marbling effect is unique and one of a kind. No two mugs will ever be exactly the same. Once again I will tell you that I got all of these supplies at my local Walmart because of the wonderfully cheap prices contained there.
