In severe cases, it may be accompanied by dizziness, headache, gastrointestinal dysfunction, forgetfulness and other systemic symptoms. . Exacerbation of symptoms when viewing objects is a significant clinical feature.
Asthenopia is the common result of defects in the visual organs, physical factors, social environment, excessive eye use, and psychological emotions.

Clinical manifestations:
(1) Ocular symptoms: decreased tears, dry eyeballs, swelling and foreign body sensation, and periorbital pain or soreness. The eyelids are heavy and cramping and unable to read for a long time.
(2) Visual impairment: Blurred vision occurs when the eyes are used at close range, accompanied by diplopia, and distance vision is normal or close to normal.
(3) Systemic symptoms: headache or migraine, dizziness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and memory loss; some patients may have gastrointestinal discomfort symptoms such as nausea and vomiting; sometimes they may also experience mood disorders such as anxiety and irritability.
How to relieve visual fatigue?
As visual fatigue is a syndrome mainly caused by various factors, the treatment mainly includes local factors (eye adjustment), external factors, internal environment (systemic diseases, imbalanced rhythm of life), mental and psychological factors, etc. Aspects of adjustment.
Medication: Wash your hands thoroughly before use; raise your head when you drop the eye drops, pull the lower eyelid apart, and let the medicine drop into your eyes, 1 to 2 drops each time. Gently press the inner corner of the eye where the eye and the base of the nose are connected for 2 to 3 minutes, and then wipe off the unabsorbed liquid.
(1) Aesculus aesculus and digitalis double glucoside eye drops: improve ciliary muscle function and increase ciliary muscle blood flow to improve eye accommodation and reduce eye discomfort.
(2) Artificial tears (sodium hyaluronate eye drops, sodium hydroxymethyl cellulose eye drops, polyethanol eye drops, etc.) improve the symptoms of dry eyes. Once the sensation of dry eyes disappears, the drug should be discontinued, and it is not advisable to use artificial tears for a long time. The number of drops of artificial tears is not the better, it should be controlled within 4 times a day is more appropriate.
(3) Anticholinergic eye drops (anisodamine eye drops, etc.) can reduce eye smooth muscle and vasospasm, and improve local microcirculation.
Non-drug treatment of asthenopia and self-regulation management of patients are very important, and the habit of using healthy eyes is promoted to stay away from asthenopia.

(1) Non-medicinal treatment: Take fog vision method, distant view method, eye exercises and physical therapy such as eye acupoint massage to relax eye muscles, improve eye circulation, eliminate eye muscle fatigue, and improve vision.
(2) Regular life, regular sleep, reasonable diet, and avoid three high diets (high salt, high fat, and high sugar).
(3) The working light is moderate, and the sitting posture is correct when reading or working. Avoid long-term close contact with the video terminal, especially when the surrounding light environment is not coordinated.
(4) Maintain the relatively moist micro-environment of the eyes, perform local massage, eye muscle training and other methods to relax the eye muscles, improve the local micro-environment, or use sodium carboxymethyl cellulose eye drops to relieve eye dryness and other discomforts.
(5) For the gradual increase in eye discomfort, you should seek medical treatment in time. At the same time, attention should be paid to the ocular manifestations of systemic diseases, and treatment and prevention of systemic diseases should be done.
(6) Try to maintain an optimistic and relaxed mood. Appropriate outdoor activities can help reduce visual fatigue.
(7) Eye drops should not be used because of discoloration or mixed erosion. Eye drops generally contain preservatives. After opening the bottle, place it in a cool place and use it up within 4 weeks to prevent deterioration.
(8) To prevent contamination, do not touch the mouth of the eye drops bottle to the surface of any object during the use of eye drops.
