Finding the ideal ring to propose to your partner with is no easy challenge. It’s not an inexpensive one either! Since many of us strive to provide our partner with a glistening diamond ring that even the likes of an A-list celebrity would be proud to wear on their finger, sometimes the aesthetics of the ring is emphasized more so than the act of proposing itself. My Favorite Appointment as a Bridal Consultant
Before having kids and moving to the middle of nowhere, I was a Bridal Consultant just like on that one show. I worked for much smaller companies, but most of the time my job was just like that show (you know the show). I had appointments that would fly off the handles, everyone yelling and screaming, brides crying in the changing room, it was insane. Twice I had a party member threaten to beat me up just because I was trying to close a sale.

Monster in Laws
Ok so it’s no big secret that from time to time a woman will fall head over heels for a man before realizing that his mother is what every woman dreads. Don’t get me wrong, not every situation is the same because not all mothers are this way. But then there are those who are. Thankfully my current mother in law is absolutely amazing. I would be lost without her and I never thought it was possible. Every single mother in law before her were the polar opposite. They were nosey, overbearing, rude, judgmental and narcissistic. They loathed me and im all about giving back what is given. After awhile, I was a mother in laws worst nightmare right back.

Will you marry me... No
It is crazy how I still feel some kind of way before I even start this confession. The first time I declined a proposal of marriage, I felt extremely stressed. Imagine feeling more pressure to say yes to a major life decision from society than from the guy proposing. I was fresh out of college and in my second rebound relationship. I knew when he asked that the answer was no, but I didn’t have the guts to answer him right away. At the time, I was still job-hunting after accepting a job and moving to San Antonio while waiting to see if I got accepted into one of the graduate schools I applied. But most importantly, I was still in the “depression stage” of the 5 stages of grief (after losing by hearing). I was in no position to be anyone’s wife. I was still adjusting to being a silent beauty.
