Welcome to my two part book of healing circles and meditations, gathered personally from my own journeys in my cycle of life. I encourage you to enjoy your life to it’s fullest potential and learn your lessons in life so you can move forward with life. One of my main goals is to show you balance between your physical being and your spiritual being, keeping yourself healthy, happy and alive. I believe there is always a right way and definitely never a wrong way to meditate, therefore I’m more than happy to give ideas on how to try meditating. Personally, I prefer mediation while laying in bed, during yoga or during a circle. What I have learned is that as long as I go back to the same place in my mind, every time I meditate, I only become stronger and stronger each time. I have also noticed when returning to same place to meditate carries the energy from previous encounters; hence adding to becoming stronger each time. When getting myself ready for meditation, I will usually pick a quiet place, wear comfy clothes, burn a candle but only if I know I will be staying awake, hence I only use a candle during my circles. Some people like to listen to music or chant during their meditations, personally I do that depending on the meditation or prayer I am working with. But be sure to do what feels right to you! Most of my meditations are also related to my seven main Chakras. Due to this I will be doing a small breakdown on each chakra, their meanings and color connections. Enjoy!

POWER OF CLEANSING by Susan McGill

The Seven Chakra meanings

Chakra 1: Root Chakra, color of red, found at base of your spine in the tailbone/sexual organ area. It represents the basic of life and feeling grounded as well as feeling secure.

Chakra 2: Sacral Chakra, color of orange, found in the lower abdomen, near your bellybutton. It represents creativity, change, sexual and accepting others or experiences.

Chakra 3: Solar Plexus Chakra, color of yellow, found in the upper abdomen in the stomach area. It represents your self confidence and be in-control of your life.

Chakra 4: Heart Chakra, color of green, found in the center of your chest just above your heart. It represents your ability to love all around you.

Chakra 5: Throat Chakra, color of blue, found in your throat. It represents communication and self expression. I have also found this to be a color of healing and have used it as such.

Chakra 6: Minds Eye or the third eye, color of Indigo or purple, found in the center of your forehead, between your eye brows. It represents focusing on and seeing the big picture for what it really is.

Chakra 7: Crown Chakra, color of Violet, found about two inches above the head. It represents your ability to connect to spirituality, the Devine!

Meditations to try below:

During this meditation we are going to learn from your own body and what it has to tell us and what we should do to learn to listen to what your own body knows! I like to use this to over come my illnesses and believe me I have had more than my fair share of such things! It took a very long time to understand that my best option is to listen to my own body and what it can tell me.

Note: meditation is only a portion, large portion, but a portion no less of what I do to understand what my body is telling me. Either way while doing this meditation I find it best to imagine my own body as a book of knowledge on my own body. Each body part, organ, even each cell has its own section in my book about my body. So I can look through my book and decide at any point what information I would like about my body.

When it comes to this meditation I really do enjoy laying on my bed and being willing to fall asleep while reading my body book and dreaming of how to heal myself and how to understand what I might need to maybe change in my diet or a vitamin I might be lacking, an exercise I should try out or stop doing. I have been able to learn it is good to let my body tell me what it is I need to know about it and heal from there. I hope this helps you to learn how to listen to your own body to heal from within.

I will give you a small example; I had a dream while meditating, about eating wild meat, I could feel how it was replenishing my energy, how I wasn’t so pale anymore and how my system didn’t feel like it was feeding off my muscle to keep me alive anymore. That day I contacted a friend and was able to get some wild meat and add it to my diet. Amazing how that made a huge change in my health! It did the very things I witness during my meditation and to this day I continue to keep it in my diet when possible. Please use this meditation to it’s fullest potential.

My Temple of Knowledge

Take a moment to just relax and imagine yourself picking up your own personal body book, feel it in your hands, what is it made of? Does it have a leather cover? How big is it? Does it say a Title of any kind? Decide what body part or parts you would like to read up on and turn to the page containing all information you are looking for and start reading. Enjoy!

Seven Story House of Healing

During the Seven Story House meditation imagine yourself walking with your spiritual guide swiftly through a field and you come to a moat surrounding a special house. It’s your own personal house containing seven stories and each story of your home is radiating a different color. Starting from the base floor your colors are; red then going up from there, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and last but not least, violet! Make your way through the field watching all the birds and butterflies and absorb the smell of all the wide flowers finding a bridge crossing over the moat leading straight to a footpath which takes you to your home.

When opening the door to your home, you enter first floor finding it filled with the color red or your root chakra, here you are able to absorb all knowledge and wisdom pertaining to the basics of life. Such as your place of work and support system. Take your time while searching your floor for all information offered. Remember what you see, what you hear, how things feel and sounds around you.

Then make your way up to your second floor of your home where the color of orange or your Sacral chakra is radiating clearly, offering you opportunity to absorb all knowledge and wisdom of balance found between your physical being and spiritual being giving you perfect harmony.

Always be sure to take your time and look into every corner of your floors what do you find? How does it help you? What can everything do for you? Find what you need pertaining to your own social life, family or maybe a group situation. Allow this floor the opportunity to show you what is needed to understand about your personal health and sense of well-being. Leave with self confidence!

Next find your way to the third floor where the color yellow or your Solar Plexus chakra surrounds you with it’s bright and strong energy coming from every direction you look. Let it engulf you becoming apart of it’s energy and strength let it become your own personal strength and person energy. Allow it to do the job of giving you personal strength also giving you both self esteem and self control.

Make your way to the fourth floor where you will find the color green or your Heart chakra wrapping its energy around you like a hug of pure love! Absorb this energy and let it fill your heart, feel the unconditional love this energy has for you and hold on tight! Accept this love fully! Embrace this energy let it walk with you, become apart of you and pass it on to others in the Universe! Rejoice in the Love shared!

When reaching the next floor in your home you will find the color of healing, blue or your Throat chakra. Take extra time in this room, allow the color of blue to find every cell in your body. Listen as it tells you ways in which to express yourself, be more creative and understanding of what it is you need to full fill your needs to become self aware and able to self express yourself with proper balance. Allow yourself to become healed or maybe even become the healer.

As you get to the sixth floor you will find the color of purple or your Minds Eye chakra, a very important floor that needs extra attention. Allow the color purple to surround you, absorb it and dance with it. Feel its strength, its knowledge, its ability to connect you to your higher consciousness, your intuition or your inner vision. Open your minds eye and reach in to leave that of what you want answers to. By doing this and leaving behind that of what you want answered you will begin to see your life change in the way in which you really prefer it to be.

Once making your way to the top floor you find the color violet or your Crown chakra. Now that floor is very unique and gives access to the Universe, the Great Devine. Absorb every bit of violet light found on this floor, let it take you to a higher state of consciousness, be enlightened and find purity. Rest while you are here and let the light cleanse and heal you fully.

Slowly open your eyes and thank your guide for walking with you during this meditation and enjoy your day. If you fell asleep no worries, it happens to me all the time with this mediation and I always feel rejuvenated and I love it!! Enjoy!

Lifting that Heaviness

Want to learn how to pull the positive out of the negative? This is how! For one week you need to watch and listen to every single word you say and or write. If you find yourself using a negative word of any kind, stop what you are saying or writing and think about what you are saying. Why is it negative? Can you say it in a way that is not negative? If you are not able to say it in a positive way do not say it at all!! Do this for seven days and see how easy it is to continue doing it in your every day life and how soon others around you will also start doing the same. Then in no time you will start hearing people asking you, “How can you pull the positive out of the negative so easily?” For you, it has become second nature. Enjoy! I pray you too will be able to see the positive in any negative that may loom your way!

Step into Your Spiritual Garden

This meditation is one of connecting with your spiritual guides and learning how they can help you along your journey of life lessons. During this meditation I spend my time in what I call my spiritual garden. It is found within my own mind and contains all the needed knowledge and wisdom of what I should be aware of or have better deal with. It shows me my protectors and gives me full control over everything related to my being both physical and spiritual.

When doing this meditation, I imagine myself walking down an over grown path, one that is not travelled often opening my mind to that of my spiritual garden seeking out my guide who sits next to a roaring fire. There is no need to speak as all thoughts are transferred between our minds. I open my mind to the possibilities being offered through my guide and allow myself to experience a higher potential and enjoy it! I deserve it! I take the time to listen and take all knowledge with me when I open my eyes. Have fun!

Death Let’s Explore it!

Have you ever wanted to see what your own death would be like, or attend your own funeral? If only to learn to be alright with both life and death? If you plan to do this meditation it is very important to be mentally prepared before, during and after. First you must understand that you will be leaving your body during this meditation and are completely safe as long as you keep your cord attached to your body. I like to refer to this cord as my own personal umbilical cord and I understand that nothing is able to break this cord and I will always stay safe and attached when leaving my body. I also make sure I am willing to see, touch, accept and be apart of all knowledge and wisdom offered while attending my death and/or funeral. During this meditation I prefer once again to be laying in bed and I say my prayer before starting, “I will be safe at all times while leaving my body, nothing can break my connection between me and my umbilical cord.”

I then allow myself to completely relax and imagine myself floating above my body. I can see the silver cord connected from my bellybutton of my physical body to the tailbone of my spiritual being. No matter how far away from my body I go my cord is able to reach. I float around the room and watch my death, I feel my emotions, my fears, my understanding of what is happening. I accept whatever I see, feel or touch and absorb it, I carry the knowledge with me when I leave. From there I attend my funeral and listen to what is being said, look at who is all around me and feel their support, take all knowledge and celebrations with me when leaving my funeral.

Once I have left my funeral I ride with death into the sunset until I get all my answers, at which point I then return back to my physical body and lay back down within my own body either opening my eyes and continuing on with my day or I allow myself to fall into a deep sleep and wake refreshed in the morning. Enjoy!

Take a Ride In a Carriage

While doing this meditation if you are female/male imagine yourself with a Prince /Princess riding through the park in a golden carriage being pulled by a huge Clydesdale and driven by a well dressed man with black suit and top hat to match. You sit across from the Prince/Princess watching and listening to their every word as though being told the story of life and the world in which you live in. There is no time to stop and ask questions, only sit back listen and watch while it goes by grabbing what is close enough to pass by your finger tips. Trust what you hear and learn from what you see. Touch what you have not touched before. Walk where you once feared to go and confront the issue. You are safe here and all answers will be shared with you. Continue on the ride until you have received all of what you are needing before opening your eyes. Enjoy!

FIND YOUR OWN TREASURES WITHIN YOUR OWN MINDS EYE by Susan McGill

Three Treasures

During this meditation imagine yourself on the top of a hill looking all round you notice how green the grass is, the trees in the distance, the pathway leading down the hill. You walk closer to the path seeing the most beautiful pond at its bottom. You can see the bottom of the pond, the crystal blue color catches your attention. You follow the footpath leading down the hill towards the pond. You begin walking down the hill, then you’re running faster and faster then just when you feel like your going to fall flat on your face, you dive into the pond head first. As soon as you touch the water you turn immediately into a fish, feel how the water is refreshing for you, how it gives you life! Take a moment and notice what kind of a fish you are and swim as fast as you can to the bottom of the pond!

Right in your sight line is three caves, the first cave you swim into has a treasure box. Open it! Check it out, feel it, look at it, smell it and take what’s in it with you to the middle cave. When entering the cave swim around everywhere notice how the cave is like a circle, absorb everything floating in the water. Whatever it is, even if that is just water itself. You find another treasure box, take everything from both caves and make your way to the third cave. This cave contains two treasure boxes. You can only open one, which one do you pick? Use your inspiration from the first cave and knowledge from your second cave to help pick your treasure of understanding. Gather everything from this treasure box and take a moment to see what you have found, search through it and see what you want to take and what you don’t need to take with you. How did you open these treasure boxes, how are you carrying everything you have taken?

Begin swimming as fast as possible to the surface when breaking through you turn into a bird! What kind of bird are you? See through the eyes of your bird, feel your wings soar through the air. Notice how the air gives you strength continue to fly around the sky, looking in all directions keep observing all you see, continue flying around freely until you find the hill you first stood on. Find some nice soft green grass and land on it, when touching the ground, you turn into an animal.

What kind of animal are you? Become this animal, feel its power, try your senses. Look through yours eyes as this animal, smell your way back to the place you first stood on. Be sure to search around the hill and take all knowledge and wisdom with you back to the very place you first stood, as soon as you touch this point you will return back to yourself. What did you bring back with you from the journey? What have you learned? Were you able to become each animal and see through their eyes, feel through them, did you meet your own personal spiritual animal(s).

The first time I did this meditation I was a tadpole, an eagle and a black bear. I had found nothing in my first two treasure boxes and only letters of the alphabet in my third treasure box. Each time I do this meditation my fish changes and my last animal changes yet my eagle always stays the same. Therefore I see an Eagle as my own personal animal spirit. Please enjoy this meditation and allow yourself to show you the ways of life through your own guides. May your lessons begin!
