Looking back: 2025 was a beast
It's difficult to know how to start this. I've suggested that it's been a tough one from my title and in many ways, it has; however, there is an argument that it's not been that extraordinary at all, merely this wonderful thing we call "life" with all its climaxes and pitfalls.

Beating the booze
'Beating the booze' may be an exaggeration. All I have done is to come up with a new approach to cutting down my alcohol intake. Why? Am I a drunk, an alcoholic, a problem drinker? These are the things that can be measured, discussed, praised, or corrected. They are concrete, undeniable, and easy to point to. When something goes wrong, attention naturally moves toward what can be seen. When something goes right, credit is assigned to what just happened. This way of seeing feels practical, even obvious. But what if it quietly reverses how reality actually works.
