How a Daily Writing Habit Changes Your Life

Your thoughts can either be your worst enemy or your greatest asset

One of the most effective changes in my life has been writing every single day. If you want a sense of happiness and fulfillment, starting a writing habit is the way to go.

Writing is the ultimate hack to success because it slows life down and allows you to think. Thoughts can be a dangerous thing when it’s all bottled up.

When I was at a low point in my life, I picked up daily writing, and it turned me into a whole new person — a person who feels worthy and cared for.

Some amazing benefits of daily writing include:

  • Becoming a more giving individual
  • Being more organized
  • Your vocabulary will grow
  • You’ll read more
  • You’ll meet new people
  • You’ll reconsider your career

When every region in your brain is interacting with one another, everything else in life seems to flow smoothly. You can uncover deep truths within yourself, research on your topic, and become more sophisticated.

Allow me to eliminate any insecurities or doubts you have about writing daily.

Your Thoughts Matter

Don’t ever let anyone tell you your thoughts don’t matter. Everyone can have an opinion on something. We all come from different walks of life and see things with different perspectives — the perspectives that need to be shared.

Any writer who puts a book, article, or tweet has little knowledge about whether or not it will resonate with other people.

Overthinking leads to negative thoughts.

If you keep all of your thoughts built up inside, you’re going to get flustered. You may overthink your relationships, a hard conversation that needs to be had, and even your self-worth. I’ve been there before, and it’s not a good time.

Let writing be an advantage you use in life. It’s a free way to express yourself and make sense of things. As a daily writer, I’m incredibly blessed to have become more charismatic and giving.

“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.” — Darren Hardy

You Become a Problem Solver

Each day, I jot down problems that need to be solved on my notes page. Ideas come to me naturally, and I look forward to helping someone who wants an elaboration.

There is an infinite number of resources on the internet, but it takes very specific reads to strike a chord with someone. If you see a problem that can be solved, write about it. If your idea is noteworthy, keep it to yourself and start a business for it!

So many people like you and I have writing habits because they help us navigate through life and give it purpose.

But the only difference between writing and videos is the way they absoorb it. People get to process the story in their own special way versus the concrete delivery of video.

It doesn’t take a genius to change the world. All it takes is a thoughtful someone who wants to serve others and leaves an everlasting impact.

You won’t only inspire others, but you will inspire yourself.

How to Write Daily

Starting a daily writing habit can be scary. Not everyone can pick up a habit they never felt passionate about and make it part of their lives. But if you persevere, writing can transform your life.

  1. Start with pen and paper to see what you come up with. In the beginning, I was a terrible writer who didn’t complete my thoughts and left a reader confused. As you become more accustomed to writing, take it to the keyboard for distribution.
  2. Don’t think too hard about what you’re writing about, just write. I didn’t know which topics I would write about the most until I tried everything. After exploration, I discovered my passion for writing about health, fitness, the military, money, investing, and humor. You don’t know unless you try.
  3. Read it through on your own and evaluate yourself. There’s no point in developing a lifelong skill if you don’t measure your growth. Don’t worry about your weaknesses. Instead, recognize your strengths, and go all-in on them. Can you picture a reader being inspired and empowered?
  4. Rinse and repeat. If you’re able to continue a writing habit daily, you’re going to notice tremendous growth. It will affect the way you think and make the fuzzy things in life crystal clear. Share your writing with friends, on a blog, or anywhere someone can benefit. Knowledge is mean to be shared.

You Can Do It

Writing has made an enormous impact on my life. If it hadn’t given me clarity when I needed it the most, my life could have gone a different way.

To feel immense fulfillment, writing daily will make you a more self-aware person who genuinely cares about helping other people.

Always remember that your thoughts matter, and you can solve problems.

When things get tough, write.

When things are going great, write.

When you’re angry, write.

When you’re sad, write.

When you want to transform your life, write.
