Why has everyday life become more complex than it needs to be because of our brains?

Have you ever noticed how easy life is in general?

But our brain makes it difficult somehow?

A simple error, a brief reaction, or a slight delay can be transformed by your mind into a big problem.

You’re brushing your teeth and bickering with someone from last week.

Even as you eat, your thoughts may be recalling a traumatic event from years ago.

That is not a difficult aspect of life.

This is our brain at work.

Psychologically, the human brain is designed to keep us safe.

Its primary responsibility is to keep us safe and detect threats.

What’s wrong?

Your brain cannot differentiate between the following:

  • a serious threat
  • and a troubling thought

Therefore, when anything seems suspicious, strange or out of control the brain reacts as if it is an emergency.
