Conversations With Cats In 'Nam (and a Dog)
Introduction This story is for the Vocal "Tall Tail" Challenge which you can read about below. After a chat with Heather Hubler who loves the cat videos of my meets with #CatsInNam (that's the Instagram and Twitter hashtag) I jokingly said I should record some of my encounters for the Vocal Challenge because, let's face it, animals do talk to us. Some have told me their names, to me to go away, and demanded food and attention.

Tall Tail
Once upon a time, in a vast African savannah, there lived a giraffe that was unlike any other. This giraffe, whose name was George, could speak fluently in the language of humans. George had a long neck, beautiful brown and orange spots, and a friendly personality that drew other animals to him.

My Dog Jaki & Me in 1990
This was an incident happened in my childhood days in the year 1990 , The reason I am writing this is because it's a true store and my dog Jaki saved my life and I believe i was 7 years old small boy. Me and my grandmother went to my aunty house which is faraway 150 miles from my village. I see a dog with 9 puppies with different colors brown black white and few other colors. I was attracted by a brown color puppy and it is so cute and most active one, with in couple of minutes it started playing with me and I took that to my home. My family is a poor family and my father was struggling to get food for us everyday.

Sweet Pups: An Interview
A few months ago, my sister, Janis, decided that she was going to adopt a dog of her own. It was a long process because her apartment’s landlord usually has restrictions that prohibit residents from keeping pets. However, thanks to approval from a doctor, they made an exception for her to adopt a pet. By this point, she decided on who she was going to adopt: a foxy rat terrier puppy named “Angie” who was renamed “Zelda” after a character from the “Legend of Zelda” series of games. Then came the day of adoption and I joined Janis to cross state lines into Massachusetts to take Zelda home.

Saffron the Wonder Dog
We got Saffron when I was very young. I’m not sure exactly how old, but I know that there was a conversation around either getting a dog or a rabbit. Saffron was much better than any rabbit ever could have been. She was the fluffiest golden retriever I have ever known, with pale yellow fur that never darkened to the rich gold I’ve seen in other retrievers since.
