Eat

Every Morsel

Eat

The table is ready

Sit down

And dine

Stuff your face

Ignore the growing chatter

Silence your mind

And devour

Cutlery is too loud

Throw away your fork and knife

Take it in your hands

And consume

Tears slice across your cheeks

Salting and flavoring your meal

Don't stop

Keep gorging yourself

On tonight's dinner

Be a good piggy

Pay no mind to the stares

They're just jealous

Of how full you will be

When you finish

The final course arrives

The scent carving a place in your nostrils

Sickness builds low

Vomit gurgles beneath your uvula

But it's almost over

Quell your guilt

And take the last bite

Finish eating
