Stop watching the clock
minutes on a dial won't sooth away
moments that were never meant to be
let the tears fall
blink
release those watery declaration,
blink
let them go
streaming down your cheeks
hot and scalding
cutting through your soul
let your heart shatter
into a million pieces
feel the kick in the gut
the knife in your back
feel the betrayal of abandonment
yes, they are gone
breath
love them anyways
You can be angry
that you were cheated
that life cheated you
so be angry
with the one you lost
for leaving
for dying,
even if it wasn't their fault
be angry
be angry with God
that time was up
and you weren't ready for that life to be over
be angry with God
He has big shoulders
He can take your fury
let Him hold you
be grateful
that you loved
be honored that
you had the chance to love
so deeply
that your heart would shatter
into a million pieces
that hot tears slid down your face
that you had tears enough
to cry a river
to fill an ocean
if your grief was so big
what was it like to love
so grand
you are so blessed
to have held something so priceless
in your arms
that time
could not heal
or even ease your agony
nor can it take away
the memory
of the love
that took your
hand and made you feel
exquisite grace
Be thankful to God
that your arms held
that precious soul
that now peacefully sleeps
in your Fathers arms.

I live in Bay Tree Alberta, which I don't think is even classified as a village. Just a gas station with a post office. For the moment, this is where I live, until I can go home again.
