FakeFame

The Unnecessary Line

Collecting badges and rewards,

a fleeting romance

forgotten by morning,

exalted and then discarded

from a false pedestal .

Could you get some baked beans and sausages?

Everyone has tales to share,

some remarkably alike, I swear.

But in this game, success will be thrust

upon those truly worthy of trust.

Trust that they use just the right words,

a fitting mix of syllables and phrases.

They have the right names and privileges

that will overcome the hardest work.

They'll find safety in numbers,

surrounded by others

who speak the same language.

But what if this language,

so familiar to them,

is merely a variation,

a different turn of phrase,

focusing on what's around,

while saying the same thing?

The main issue might be elsewhere,

lost in a diverse, delusional dimension.

It's not resolved yet,

awaiting its breakthrough.

It may or may not happen

dependent on the right conditions, naturally.
