poem... what Geppetto and most men really want
THEY WANT A SON
to follow in footsteps...
to leave shallow footprints...
to do what tickles a father's heart
...a parent's whim...
to be what COMPLETES
the origin of Him.
No run-around antics
...nor frivolous accords
FOLLOW THE LEAD
and be what dad doth implore.
Dad's housing in grand
(then son should follow as he'd planned)
Trucking business is "stupendous"
BUT WHAT OF A DAUGHTER?
(... the military tags that offspring as DAUGr)
Humiliating render
(as the age-old slaughter)
where no son born
wastes mother and ...
BUT WHAT
if given time to flourish
she becomes the family's nourish
PROVIDER
with what built her heart
SUCCESSOR
in what family art
repleted them
and blessed her heart?
AS GINA
By the end of that parade
I am GINAcchio
That thing what pulled them from the low.
