Gluttony

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I met you when your heart was empty, willing to fill with anything,

satiate that endless hunger.

I love you's and I promise's made in vain,

in hopes that your heart could be filled endlessly.

A heart filled with want met a broken heart and pounced,

took the broken parts for yourself,

left the broken heart empty and angry.

But that's what you do, you play the role fitting into mold you want to steal from,

manipulation at its finest, and all to make yourself feel better,

even though you never will.

Your heart filled with gluttony will never find happiness,

not until you undo the damage.
