I Loved You When You Didn’t See Me

A Quiet Heart That Loved in Silence, Waiting for Your Light

By Kashif WazirPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

I loved you when the world was loud,

When no one noticed the shadows I stood in.

I loved you in quiet corners, unseen,

A gentle feeling, soft as the morning wind.

I loved you when your eyes looked past me,

When my smile was a whisper in your storm.

I loved you in every stolen glance,

In every heartbeat that called your name,

Even when the world didn’t notice mine.

I loved you when laughter filled the room,

And I stayed in the background, a quiet shadow.

I loved you when dreams brushed past my hands,

And I held them softly, just for you,

Even if you never reached for them.

I loved you in the rain, alone,

In moments no one else could see.

I loved you in the silence of empty streets,

In the corners where memories slept,

Where only my heart remembered your face.

I loved you in simple things,

The way the sun touched your hair,

The way your voice lingered in my mind,

The way your laughter scattered across the air,

Even when I was nothing to you.

I loved you without expectation,

Without asking for words in return,

Without asking to be seen or held.

I loved you as the moon loves the night,

Quietly, faithfully, endlessly.

I loved you in the little things,

A glance you never noticed,

A thought that carried your name,

A heart that grew silently,

A hope that never shouted but whispered,

Always for you, always true.

I loved you when the world was blind,

When your eyes didn’t meet mine,

When my presence was a shadow,

When my love was a secret song.

I loved you, simply, fully, endlessly.

I loved you when the stars were distant,

When your world was busy,

When I was just a passerby in your life.

I loved you when you didn’t see me,

And I love you still, in ways the world cannot measure,

In ways that bloom quietly,

Forever in the heart that waits for you.
