We stand on the edge of abyss, watching

the coming storm roll in, forced to contemplate

the fear that will soon be imposed upon us.

*

To some, it’s a reinforcement of their own

grievances, fulfilling their lamentation for

return to the Old Order.

*

To others, a dedicated effort to impede progress,

roll back the evolution of our consciousness,

stratify the population through division.

*

For me, it is the opening tremor of the greatest

change we could ever imagine, the opportunity

to begin truly fulfilling the promise of this

*

Grand Experiment.

*

The Cosmic Shrug that finally tosses off the old

and welcomes the new, turning to Unity

and Love as our guiding principles.

*

Starting tomorrow,

kindness will be an act of resistance.

*

Laughing at their foolhardiness

will be an act of resistance.

*

Creativity will be an act of resistance.

*

Loving one another as simple humans

will be an act of resistance.

*

I know We the People

are capable of all these things.

*

Just remember that in the Darkness to come,

refusing to despair will be the greatest

act of defiance we can employ.

*
