Let it Win

First let it grow within

How will you approach the task at hand?

How will you make sure it will not be in vain?

How will it overflow and not be restrained?

How can we make sure there’s nothing left contained

Passion. Passion.

Say its name

It’s evoked like a prayer

Strikes like a flame

When it comes, don’t fret

It’s there by design

To be sure you start and complete on time

Empty shells

Dust or corrode

Stand no chance once it’s shone

Give it the chance it’s ready to go

Just flow free and watch it grow

Wind will come to stir it up

Wind that no one can corrupt

Catch it when it happens, it will carry you on through

Far beyond deep, and higher than you

Whoever utters it, be found worthy

Be watchful you don’t get purity dirty

Those who love it will fall or rise

For in all hearts, exist blazing tides

They can rise for glory

Or fall for shame

They can exist for nothing

They can stay foolishly tame

When it seizes your inner being

A warmth of no denying

You’ll first stand to your feet

Eventually you’ll be flying

Don’t deny that love

The love you know you feel

That urgency within will make things REAL

You may notice when you toil

There’s no progress when it’s over

But Passion doesn’t toil

Its eyes only behold spoil

Before you realize

It took you on its wings

It already burned through the path

You thought you couldn’t begin

Let it conquer, let it fight

Don’t fear the fire

Just tread light

It’s already waiting, if you read this far

Go! Passion is the train

That’s heading for the stars
