Love's puzzling journey
a look inward - a love poem in 50 words

When love doesn’t work out
(again!)
we continue
to look
for others
to lean on
- as if love were a crutch -
without realizing
that our own feet
(and heart)
must fully-heal first
before
we run again…
(crutchless,
this time).
Maybe, we’ll find another
who’s crutchless too.
(Maybe not.)

This smells like roses to me! I love your cover photo and also your words. I'm guilty of using love as a crutch, thinking someone else was responsible for my happiness (and I'm 64). It's easy to fall into that mindset. But, if need be, we have to be comfortable being alone... and it seems to me that being comfortable with that reality only speeds love our way. It also seems to me that when you have a passion like writing, it makes hours pass like minutes. Follow Your Dream. I'm Bill a.k.a. Bolt I have subscribed to you. ⚡💙⚡
Beautiful poem and we all lean on others from time to time. Nicely Done!!!
It's so difficult to find someone's who's crutchless loved your poem!
