Nature in Bloom

Till November comes. Mike's Rainbow Prompt.

Adorned in a golden array of colors

nature riotously roars alive - showing off...

a breathtaking moment of rare grandeur...

Summer's rare gift to humanity had arrived in superb form

knowing full well that her unbound beauty was beyond compare.

When in sunlit dappled splendor, colors primped and preened

shamelessly boasting - majestic, splendorous and immodest

like peacocks strutting to the tunes of distant heavenly harps

unfolding their magnificence to the wonder of the world.

The tress, not to be outdone, stretched their branches high, drinking the nectar of the sun

their roots burrowing deep, sipping water and soil's plenteous nutrients.

Nature has a right to be joyous in her beauteous unfolding - she knows that flora and fauna must savor the gift of summer while it lasts

for the seasons are fleeting, and they may happily glory in themselves

only for a short time, before autumn comes visiting - bringing its own

shades of wonder - stripping the leaves from the branches

preparing the world for winter's chilled deluge of frost covered hues

For then everything sleeps - hibernating until the world awakens anew

And summer once again begins showing off.

But now November was here. They had to wait a bit longer

November - the penultimate month of the year, with 30 days. Late autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and late spring in the Southern Hemisphere.

Culturally associated with themes of reflection, gratitude, and transition, marked by holidays like Thanksgiving and events such as the end of daylight saving time.

November is frequently seen as a period of change, where nature "softens its colors" and prepares for winter's rest, making it a month for reflection and coziness.

The weather often brings a mix of cold and crisp with darker nights, and sometimes dreary, grey skies or pleasant, cool breezes after the rain.

The month can feature traditions like meteor showers, while in other regions, it signals the start of the winter holiday shopping season.

But for now, the great chill had settled in for the long winter months to begin chilling us to the bones.
