Ode to Mansplaining
Pedantic Pricks

Sometimes I tolerate it,
the mansplaining,
finding it easier and less complicated
to avoid unnecessary interaction
with ignorant pedants, maybe
if I ignore them, they will
go the fuck away
with their pompous puffed chests,
combovers, and hanging bellies.
Perhaps they’ll take their 19th century politics,
Whig them all the way to Bleeding Kansas.
I won’t live in Missouri,
can’t stand Compromise,
which is what they want,
women compromised,
stripped of our worth,
🌊🚤 floating 🚤🌊
the idea of taking away our
VOTE
Veto that all the way into the
Gulf of MEXICO,
call it a drug boat,
and blow them,
no, not the way they want,
with luscious lips wrapped around what they call
manhood.
No. Blow them
away.

I hear you Harper! I’m with you 100%.
The voice here is powerful and fearless. You don’t soften the message and that’s exactly why it works.
Nice. A raw, confrontational piece that turns anger into a clear refusal to be silenced or compromised.
Amazingly well put! What Rachel said: excellent piece of articulate fury!
I enjoyed reading this today - it suited my present state of mind! I really liked the way you used alternative language to paint such a clear picture. :-)
Personally, I just hope they all go to Mars. I'm tired of literally everything politicians are forcing on us.
I love articulate fury.
Savage but accurate and pointed and like Kendall said,:brilliant!
Wow, this is brilliant!
