Paul And Samantha's Final Romantic Chapter (Edited For Television)

Inspired And Submitted To The Unnecessary Line Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished about 16 hours ago 1 min read

‘Paul, what did you do?’

In the crystal placid lake pool

Sammy feels, such the fool

While Paul, your acting cool

Dancing with friends

When

Feelings need to mend

Hope you comprehend

Samantha, all alone

Staying sober, not stoned

You, Paul on the other hand

Taking a stand

Trying to be such the man

Playing in a fantasy sorority house band

Whose drummer soon will arrive

Only to be the one scripted to die

Swimming in the wakeless, campground lie

Cueing audience, scream and cry

Asking why

Jason performs such murderous tasks

Against most of the theatrical cast

Only trying to enjoy a sexy pass

May I inquire?

Discussing by the romantic fire

In this poetic effort

Which line should be deleted to get her

Sleeping in an inflated raft

Allowing all of us a good, stimulated laugh

“Paul what did you do?”

Is the deadly dialogue that is through

"I love you”

Samantha can express

Hearing Paul’s confess

On Valentines Day

When underground Canadians say

Everything goes ‘the miner's bloody way’

Friendship
