Strike Talk Amongst The Miners
Desperate hungry life’s is a fight

Strike Talk Amung The Miners
A few of the coal miners miners out on strike,
talkin’ about how this strike’s shit,
the bosses don’t care, won’t shift one bit.
Kids are hungry, aft beg for some grub,
can’t even go for a pint to the pub.
Kids had a dog, had to let it go,
we can’t feed ourselves,
never mind a pup, you know?
Drank hot water last night in me cup,
wish this strike was over — god, hurry it up.
Wife’s cryin’ constantly, it breaks me heart,
bloody pit strike’s pullin’ families apart.
Just a rise to seven and sixpence and
we will go back in, it’ll make a big difference,
An hour until then, we’re stuck in this mess,
waitin’ for the day we can finally rest.
Although they better sort it soon,
if not, hunger will wipe us all out fast.
Hungry and poverty will end our life’s,
the strike will seal our last goodbyes.

This is also an exceptional writing of poem and good luck.
This really speaks to the harshness of it all — the hunger, the pain, and the frustration. I know what it's like to feel stuck in a fight for something better, just hoping for a little bit of relief. That was the way I was raised. Watching families struggle like that, it hits hard. It's a tough road, but sometimes all you can do is hold on and hope things will change.
