Emotions = Your Story
You wake up one day and your mood is just not right. You're not mad. You're not sad. You're not happy. And you know just know you don't want to be bothered. The day passes by, and your emotions just go up and down all day from calm to outraged in a matter of seconds. You isolate yourself in your room from everyone, so you don't hurt anyone's feelings. While sitting in bed all day your brain is constantly bringing up memories from the past and present. You start to re-live the best and worst moments of your life. Different scenarios formulate to give you various ways to fix an old problem, how to avoid an issue the next time you see it about to happen, ways to see that you enjoy an outing in public, to see the growth in yourself, and more. You sit there confused of why you are feeling so many emotions, and you just want comfort. This allows you to reflect on how you have grown and how you have fallen back, and that gives you an idea of what you can do and how you can uplift in the world. Happiness and independence develop as you begin to see the way your life goes. The plan will be adjusted due to trials and tribulations, but it will all be a part of the greater good that will allow your mind to send your soul into blossom.

“A Hunger Artist” and the Contemporary Tragedy of Working for the Knife
“A Hunger Artist” is a story that depicts an artist feeling unfulfilled in his craft when given top-tier opportunities and support, but later found that once he breaks free and is able to express his art the way he wants to, no one is there to see, and those who are never even cared. Themes like these are all too real for some artists in real life, their original voices and ideas never once being heard nor cared about, before later fading into obscurity. Therefore, it is fairly common to see the ideas expressed within the short story within many forms of contemporary media. In order to analyze the relationship between Franz Kafka’s “A Hunger Artist” as well as contemporary songs like “Cabinet Man” and “Working for the Knife,” one must consider how the artists equate their art with their worth, feel empty if their art is not valued, and attempt to escape the quotidian confines of their respective societies.

Pastoral
I’ve just been listening to “Ummagumma” by Pink Floyd and I particularly love the pastoral relaxing feel of “Grantchester Meadows” by Roger Waters and thought that would be something that I would like to write for a close special friend of mine. I could also choose Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony but it was the Roger Waters song that inspired this.
