This Is The Key

“All things are difficult

before they are easy”

An obvious thing to say

but we don’t always remember this.

At school,

it was so difficult at first

when we were learning to read and write,

but after years of practice,

(which we all do),

we don’t even think about it.

When you started that new job,

there was so much to learn,

but after a number of years,

you’re glad you stuck with it.

And that is the key!

Always ‘stick with it’ and never give up,

because you will succeed.

It will get easier

but only if you keep going.

This requires

trust in yourself.

This means

to believe in ‘you’.

This shows

that you have confidence in yourself.

Think about all of the hard things

that you have done and that are easy now.

Be proud of yourself

because of what you have personally achieved,

because you did not give up

but carried on.

Think of how strong we become

when we overcome the challenge

of something that seems difficult at first,

but then becomes easier

as time goes on.

When we look at what we have accomplished,

we have the satisfaction of knowing

that “we did it”.
