we die forgotten
The Chorus -
Cunning, not the feat of arms, brought fair Ilium low,
Unmasked Achilles gambit leading him to Troy,
Drove the swift knife into Iphigenia's breast
To ply cruel Artimus for fair following winds.
But the fates cut many lives short on Ilium's shores
Hopes of glory dashed for thousands who fought and died
Their shadows haunting Hades’ dark, lifeless halls:
Noble Hector no match for enraged Achilles,
Nor the son of Peleus, Paris' swift arrows.
Who won the laurel of Achille's golden armor
And was named Greatest of the Greeks if not Ajax?
But he who knew no honor save ruthless cunning,
Wily Odysseus, gained both, and the better man,
Mighty Ajax, fell upon his sword in sorrow,
His soul traveling the lonely roads to Hades’ keep.
But the gods' wroth did not end at the sack of Troy,
Agamemnon would rue his daughter's sacrifice
When his wife and her lover knifed him in his bath.
But he who deceived Troy with the horse filled with Greeks
Would spend ten long years failing to return to home....

On point and awesome! ✨
Facts 💯
Such gentle words of wisdom, it’s a weird conundrum when we act out of pain when we hear the truth, then we find comfort in the lies. You’re helping us to think more deeply about why this is, and how we could react neutrally towards both. Maybe even to just see them as simple truths, no action needed, very thought provoking. I love stories like these, I can’t get enough of them. I added your story The Indomitable Spirit in my list under the Raise Your Voice Thread, it still moves me till this day. Keep up the good work.
Whoaaaa, this is soooo deep and true!
Wow amazing what a feelings like this babe?
Now, this is what my diary needs! Quotations like this ✨👀 It is surreal that sometimes it becomes hard to tell the difference between the effects that either a truth or a lie can cause. Isn't it confusing?! May be the thing that matters is actually the presentation. The way you added 'Just a little truth' as a subtitle even after naming it 'Truth and lie' says it all ✔
Very deep and very true....
Your insight brilliantly highlights the stark contrast between lies and truths. It’s intriguing how a comforting falsehood can soothe, while even a gentle truth can hurt. Thank you for encouraging deeper reflection on the complexities of honesty and deception. Your perspective is truly refreshing!
