Some ‘Me Time’ - New Year, New Resolution
Thinking about the New Year's Resolution for the upcoming year, my heart wonders about all the things that human promises and impose on oneself. From performing hard to working hard these resolutions can only support one with going up and matching steps with the world but is that all is worth it if we lack to take care of our self, what I feel is every year we should promise to add on one good habit that is good for our health and can improve our overall living.

Mental Health Resolutions for 2022
The beginning of a new year is a deep breath. For all the talk about starting over when the clock strikes midnight, it's more of a chapter break than a new story. We can choose to leave certain behaviors behind, but we don't have the option to unload everything that has shaped us into who we are.

Using Mindfulness To Manage Toxic Thoughts
‘Wherever you are, be there totally.’ — Eckhart Tolle Some days, meditation can seem like a chore. It can feel like you are totally out of focus for the entire session. That your mind is wandering out of control, and it is all you can do to stop yourself from getting off the mat and ending the session early. Perhaps you are plagued by embarrassing memories, find yourself bombarded by strong emotions, or are simply falling asleep. Whatever the reason, that meditation session just sucked. Please do not stress, this happens to everyone. It is not a sign of regression, or that you are meditating incorrectly. The truth is that you can only have the meditation you are having. Whatever happens, happens and that is okay.

No Gain, No Shame
The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc upon the world -- and our mental health. Beyond the more obvious effects that the threat of disease and the loss of loved ones has had, the ways we adapted to these threats has also contributed to or exacerbated depression and anxiety.

“Want to be happier? Stay in the moment." - Matt Killingsworth
When I first stumbled my way through the list of Ted Talk options I did not immediately gravitate to this particular one. I watched a handful of videos from the list but none of them sparked my interest enough to write an entire paper on. However, when I looked at the list one last time the title caught my eye. Within the first thirty seconds of Dr. Matt Killingsworth's lecture, I knew that this was the video that I had been waiting for and could invest my energy into a worthy response. Let’s not forget that the length of the video was only ten minutes, therefore, even more appealing.

My mental health breakdown & recovery journey
I remember, back in 2015, when it feels too hard to do anything. Everything seemed too stressful at that time. Waking up, eating, working, exercising, doing dishes, or even going to bed… Anytime I had to expend any effort (physically or mentally), it was like a big wave of “please no, I don’t want to, I can’t”.

Journaling Amounts to Letting Go
When you start journaling your life, you begin to find all of these amazing benefits. It is wonderful for your mental, physical, and emotional health. These benefits might take a little while to become apparent, so be patient! And don’t force yourself to feel or experience something you think you should be experiencing. Just let it go naturally.
