The 10 Best Subscription Boxes for Military Wives
There is no question that the military forces of the United States are the strongest in the world. It is a badge most Americans wear with honor, and that fact is especially true among those who are affiliated with service members. Considering the exception of military members themselves, some of the most proud are military spouses. They live a life that is opposite the same coin that their service member spouse have committed to, dealing with the stresses of everyday tasks without their support system close to home. As a friend, or even the soldier abroad, being there for them isn’t easy either; but it is important to find ways to do it anyway. That’s why a number of companies have created subscriptions boxes for military wives, husbands, or significant others at home, to help you support the loved one fighting the good fight at home.

My Review of 'Dunkirk'
I've been meaning to watch Dunkirk for a long time but never got to it until this week. I remember seeing the trailer way back when. It was a super long trailer with a whole bunch of soldiers on a dock and some medics trying to get by. Everyone is shoulder to shoulder, so it's really tight. Then, all of a sudden, you hear the music really getting amped up. There is a noise of a plane coming. You can see the fear in their eyes, as each of them start to take notice of the noise. You see a plane coming in and everyone starts ducking. Then the Dunkirk logo pops up.

Borrowed Time
It was Belfast, the early 1990s. Two Special Forces types, the type they usually deny exist are tuning a high velocity sniper rifle. Several streets away, an equally incendiary and important figure in the IRA was sitting in the back of a car pulling up to an embassy. Shane, the younger of the two was peering through the sight. He turned to his captain, who was wiping his brow and mustache of sweat and looking down with contempt at inner city Belfast.

The Top Four Fearsome Blades Used By Special Forces
Many people have a sort of love/hate relationship with all kinds of weapons in general. They do find them fascinating to look at from a distance, but to get them to touch or wield a sword or gun would be too much of a stretch. Additionally, a lot of us have this internal fear within ourselves that we may very well end up hurting ourselves, because we have no idea how to handle them. Given how many times that has happened to people, this fear is perfectly valid.

Alsace: Episode Two
A German World War two pilot sprints across a field headed towards a low stone French farm house. It’s evening and the sun has set under the horizon but still casts a blue and purple light, which disperses through the thick blanket of grey overcast sky and illuminates the world with an even cool glow. The pilot is muddied and his uniform is ripped and hanging in multiple places. Small twigs and leaves from the tree that his parachute caught in are wedged in his belt and boots. The tails of his jacket are blackened from the smoke of his burning plane that crashed below him. He’s unhurt but exhausted and bruised from cutting himself out of the tree, immediately in need of rest and soon to be in need of food and shelter—somewhere safe that he can regroup. He slows to a jog as he passes the low stone wall that makes the tiny courtyard in front of the one story home he spotted from the forest.

Blood and Mud
Thud. Crack. Thud. The whistles and drones of the artillery whooshing overhead were nauseating. Whilst they had long ago become familiar sounds, they had never become comforting ones. Relatively new sounds to a battlefield, it was the power and quantity of these weapons that was unprecedented. Impacts that were detonating hundreds of metres beyond the wire were strong enough to shake the Earth into liquid sludge underneath the feet of the hundreds of men crammed into thin cutaways scaring the ground. The enemy returned the barrage with their own. These impacts buckled the knees of any lucky enough not to be caught in the concussive blasts. What little fauna remained in the churned up landscape fled. I wished I could flee with them.
