controversies
It seems every time one racially-charged incident ends, a gender or religious controversy takes its place; Ruminate on the issues dividing our nation and world.
The Rise of the Fourth Reich
Neo-Nazis view the 4th Reich as the rise of neo-Nazi Germany into power once again. They actually look forward to this. Some theorists believe that Germany is into a covert rise of the neo-Nazi agenda (Wikipedia). Neo-Nazis want the Aryan race to be at the forefront of anything they do. The German neo-Nazis want Germany to acquire nuclear weapons, which sets Germany back to its ways in 1937. Nazis would like a “pan-Aryan world empire” which encompasses all land populated by predominantly European-descended peoples from Europe to Russia, white people’s America, Australia, the Southern Cone of South America, New Zealand, and South Africa; basically anywhere there are white people. The Fourth Reich has risen without many shots being fired, if you believe the paranoia.

Is Abortion Morally Right?
Abortion has been legal in England, Scotland, and Wales when the Abortion Act was passed in 1967. Changes were made under the Human Fertilisation And Embryology Act of 1990—bringing in a new upper time limit, allowing most abortions to take place up to 24 weeks. This suggests that although the fertilised egg is potential life, scientific evidence shows that the foetus is not viable (capable of independent life) in the early stages of pregnancy and is still a part of its mother. The law in England, Scotland, and Wales states that: "An abortion can be performed before the 24th week of pregnancy if two doctors agree that there is a risk to the mental and physical health to the mother and any other children in the family." This backs up the idea that if women are to lead healthy, happy lives and offer the same to any children they may have, they need to exercise control over their reproductive lives. I agree with this argument because I feel it is considerate of all possible situations—whether or not the mother is mentally or physically stable to have the child, the financial situation, how the child was conceived e.g. rape, non-consensual. Abortion is a highly controversial topic, everyone having their own individual thoughts and feelings on it. Abortion is so controversial is because it raises the fundamental question; when does human life actually begin?

To Everyone Who Walked Out
March 14th, exactly one month after the Parkland school shooting, students in schools across the nation participated in “walking out” to protest gun ownership by civilians. If you were one of those students or someone who supported this, I’m talking to you:

The Link Between Sergei Skripal and the Trump Russia Dossier - Christopher Steele Returns
Sergei Skripal was undoubtedly a traitor to his country. Russian court documents suggest he gave British Intelligence the names of more than 300 Russian agents. In return, Sergei Skripal received at least £100,000 and access to a holiday home in Malaga, where he could meet his handler, or make dead drops of his stolen information. His MI6 contact was a man named Pablo Miller, who went by the name Antonio Alvarez de Hidalgo during this time whilst working for British intelligence via MI6. Miller apparently recruited Skripal in around 1994 whilst Skripal was working in the position at the Russian military attaché′s office in Madrid, Spain.

One Nation, Under CCTV
Great Britain, a once proud empire that at one point controlled a large portion of the territories on Earth. A nation built on the shoulders of our forefathers' accomplishments, it was once a shining beacon of the western world, so where is it today, in 2018?

Civics and Constitutional Rights Need to Be Mandatory in American Curriculum
So in the spirit of Orange Is the New Black, California is the new Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Immigration or legal immigration is the new desegregation or integration. California is the new Confederacy acting to subvert the Union. Perhaps California needs to get honest and admit it wants to return to Mexico as a province and cease to exist as a U.S. State.

Is California the New Confederacy?
The ICE storm cometh. President Trump is scheduled to visit California the week of March 12. Trump plans to view prototypes of the border wall while in San Diego. Last week U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions filed a lawsuit against the Sanctuary State of California over three state laws that the feds state obstructs federal immigration law. The media has called the immigration battle between California and the Federal government a showdown akin to a Civil War over polar opposite immigration policies.

Should Teens Be Allowed to Buy a Firearm?
There has been some controversy lately about a young man who was denied a firearm sale from a chain retailer. He was approximately 20 years old, although the story changes as time goes on. He wanted to buy a Ruger .22 caliber rifle, and denied. He is now suing the retailer for age discrimination.

The Health Care Crisis: Will It Ever Be Resolved?
At this point with the current administration the way it is, I can honestly say I feel health care is a lost cause. If people want to pay up all the time, then by all means, quit fighting the good fight. Give up. Don’t fight. Pre-existing conditions need not be put back into the “even-disabled-people-need-insurance” clause. To gut Medicare at a time when people need it, this is wrong, if only because health care is a human right. To deny that right, well, it means that the planet is enjoying a rise in fascism from many other countries, not just the United States.

Stop the Violence
Today, we live in a world where mental health and gun violence are the norm. Unfortunately, as of March 5th, 2018, there have been 19 school related shootings resulting in countless lives lost. Psychopathic behavior of copycat serial killers using AR-15s for premeditated murder and the dilemma of the individuals' 2nd Amendment to purchase guns. Unfortunately, “We the People” voted qualified representatives into Congress to protect children and adults, yet casualties do not meet the gun control standards. My heart pours out to the families begging for help while individuals in charge wait for the next incident to occur to act. How many people must be buried before it becomes a state of an emergency? America is in a crisis in the crimes against kids at schools. Urban community deaths are rising, and criminal offense acts, too.
