SpaceX Targeting Feb 28 For Next Launch of Starship Megarocket. SpaceX is gearing up for the eighth test flight of its Starship megarocket targeting liftoff on Friday February 28 2025. This mission comes on the heels of the previous test flight which ended prematurely due to an in flight anomaly. The upcoming launch aims to validate the improvements made to the vehicle and advance SpaceX's goal of creating a fully reusable spacecraft capable of deep space missions. The Starship system standing at 403.5 feet 123 meters is designed as a two stage fully reusable spacecraft. The first stage known as Super Heavy is a massive booster equipped with 33 Raptor engines that provide the thrust necessary to escape Earth's gravity.
