The PlayStation Network (PSN) is currently facing a widespread outag leaving players unable to access online gaming digital purchases, and other PlayStation services. The outage which began on February 7, 2025 has persisted into the next day causing frustration among millions of users worldwide. Reports indicate that players using PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 PlayStation 3 PlayStation Vita and PlayStation VR have been affected with connectivity issues preventing them from logging into their accounts or playing online multiplayer games. Sony has acknowledged the issue but has not provided an exact timeline for when services will be fully restored. According to the official PlayStation Network status page all core PSN services are currently down including account management gaming and social features and access to the PlayStation Store. This means that players cannot sign in purchase or download games or join online matches. Some users have even reported being unable to access single player games that require an online connection for verification.
