We Want WNBA 11
Harrison catches fire for the Dallas Wings Dallas Wings center Isabelle Harrison is averaging 10 points per game. After a stop and go kind of start, Harrison has been on a role since June 24. She has scored double figures in her last six games and has shot over 50 percent in all but one of those contests. During that stretch she had two 23-point games. One was against Chicago on June 30. Harrison shot 10-17 from the field and 3-3 from the free-throw line. Two games later on July 5 against New York she scored 23 points on an even better 9-12 shooting from the field. In between those contests Harrison shot a near perfect 6-7 from the field on July 2 against Chicago.

NCAA student athlete compensation.
College student-athletes can now sell their name, image, and likeness to enterprises of all sizes. And it only took till 2021! Regardless of some people's discontent, this is a necessary sympathetic change for what is happening with workers in the economy as a whole.

Thoughts on the last dance
Seeing the Last Dance on Netflix showed me a little bit about hoops in the age of Michael Jordan. I know it's a little late for a Last Dance review, but with Scottie Pippen's new book, it feels appropriate. As Scottie tries to recover his place on the Chicago Bulls' championship teams.

The Problem with The Process
Sam Hinkie convinced the city of Philadelphia that he could build a successful team through the draft. Almost a decade ago, he made promises of the next Golden State. Assuring they would have a team full of All-Stars. To the average fan the prospects were glorious. It’s impossible to compete for a title without a superstar. Why would you want to be a 3 or 4 seed when you could be winning a championship? All you had to do was game the system. Of course we can do it, because Sam and by extension this city is smarter. Yeah Right.

Trae Young is officially a SUPERSTAR
Game 1 Atlanta Hawks: 116 Milwaukee Bucks: 113 Here we go again. That's three straight Game ones with the Hawks playing as the undisputed underdogs, and that's three straight game one wins for the Hawks. Time and time again we have gone into the series with nobody on our side and everyone doubting us, and we continue to prove everybody wrong. I love it.

A Winning Legacy
They all came in uniform…of sorts. Each person wearing the outfit that most reflected the role in life that they now play because, at one time, they played for her. There were mostly basketball uniforms, both college and pro, a couple of military uniforms, the power suit of a corporate leader, and the robes of a judge. This last one spoke on behalf of the crowd as the casket was being carried by a few of the others. A few because the casket was not the normal size and length due to the petite size of the guest of honor. Only four people were needed to carry her from the hearse. But, looking upon the casket being placed, the judge couldn’t help but make a comment that erupted laughter throughout the crowd.

the atlanta hawks are moving on
Game 7 Hawks: 103 76ers: 96 Would you look at this. The Atlanta Hawks have taken down the number 1 team in the Eastern Conference and are moving on to the conference finals. If I went back to February and told any NBA analyst that the Hawks are going to be 4 wins away from the Finals, they’d think I’m crazy. But here we are. The Hawks are FOUR wins away from the NBA FINALS.

The NBA Needs To Change Its Playoff Format Now
One great thing about the NBA and commissioner David Stern is that they fix mistakes with their game. Case in point – in 2003 the NBA switched the first round of the playoffs from a best-of-five game series to a best-of-seven to help ensure that the better team advances. That’s why it’s mind boggling to wonder why they won’t change the playoff format to account for debacles like this season.

Hawks get the win in a historical comeback
Game 5 Hawks: 109 76ers: 106 Absolute roller coaster of emotions in this one. But before I get into my highly anticipated opinions and analysis of last nights game, I need to give a little side story of my experience watching it.
