feminism
At its core, feminism is the simple conviction that women are equal to men in every regard, and should be treated as such.
Here's What Misogyny Forums Taught Me About Patriarchy
It was a Friday afternoon when I was browsing the web, and accidentally stumbled upon a dark corner of the internet that I'd only heard stories about. Whilst it was clear from the start that women weren't welcome amongst this online community that I'd discovered, I couldn't help but dive deeper into the frighteningly, intriguing, chauvinistic forums of the 'Manosphere.'

The Young Male and His Phobia of Feminism
All Canadian women acquired the right to vote only in 1960, when Native American women were then given this right. In the United States, it was in the 1920s, though multiple structures stopped women of color, mostly African-American women in Southern states, from freely exercising their right until the 1960s. For many people, certain turning events in the history of oppressed groups seem to mark the end of the oppression against these groups. For Black people, it was the end of slavery; for Jewish people, it was the end of World War II; and for women, the right to vote. Now that all of this is behind us, why are these groups still complaining? Obviously, it is not that simple. In 2018, many women consider themselves feminists and aren't afraid to say it. But is the identification with this group a deal breaker when it comes to finding a boyfriend? I wanted to know what relationship young heterosexual men have with feminism, and I was quite surprised by the result.

Every Excuse for Not Calling Yourself a Feminist, Answered
It's sad to say that many people, including women, don't believe in feminism. However, if you were to explain to these people the principles and ideas behind the movement, many amongst this group would agree that they too hold the same beliefs- they just don't want to be included under the title. More and more reasons, excuses and somewhat bizarre ideas as to why people don't want to label themselves as feminists have come to light during this "modern" wave of the movement.

Why Are Men Afraid of Feminism?. Top Story - November 2018.
Why are men afraid of feminism? It's a loaded question. Not all men feel this way. Not all men disrespect, oppress, or control women. Not all men hold women in disdain. Some men, however, cannot even hear the word “feminism” without frothing at the mouth. Why are they like that?

The Future Is Female: Continuing the Legacy
Following my first article, the trend continues, in which I've asked wonderful women from different artistic backgrounds about where they stand in their field. Needless to say, there is never enough female sensation. Here is what they have to say.

How Victoria's Secret Sparks Internalised Misogyny in Women Across the World
Every year during the autumnal month of November, the buzz of the upcoming Victoria's Secret fashion show takes over every single social media platform and tabloid news outlet. The distinguished fashion show that was once a magical display of luxury lingerie and the worlds most elite supermodels, has now become a weird music festival, with a repetitive parade of designs and social media stars. Gone are the days where young women would glue themselves to their sofas to witness the legendary Naomi, Karolina and Adriana own the sparkling runway. Victoria's Secret once stood as an elite fashion show that only booked the fiercest of the fierce supermodels, however due to their significant decline in popularity and tv viewings, it comes as no surprise that they have now turned to booking less experienced "Instagram models" to represent the brand (and of course, conduct free marketing for them).

To Be a Feminist or Not to Be a Feminist: That Is the Question
Let me start by saying that a few years ago, I would not have identified myself as a feminist. When I was a few years younger, I had a skewed view of what it meant to be a feminist. When I heard that someone was a feminist, I pictured a woman who hated men, didn't shave their armpits, and felt the need to argue against all institutions.
