We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if we only seek them with our eyes open. Jawaharlai Nehru

There’s a big wonderful world out there for you. It belongs to you. It’s exciting and stimulating and rewarding. Don’t cheat yourselves out of this. Nancy Reagan

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. Saint Augustine

We all live in a time where travel is easier. Let one and all take advantage.

Many countries are opening their doors to us. We have opportunities before us, making now so exciting. We live on a beautiful planet. Our world is rich in diverse life of unimaginable kinds.

If we cannot get there in person — documentaries are the next best thing. Then there is always our imagination to call upon. The eye of our hearts opens exploration and adventures both close and distant.

Our beautiful and immense world awaits us! The world is full of people from different cultures for us to discover. When meeting these diverse people, either in person or in documentaries, you learn something new about yourself also.

Well, I don’t know about you, but travelling to my dream destination — well let’s go! I have not got a passport — for a reason. I want to see all Australia has to offer before venturing overseas.

I have traveled a great deal of N.S.W. and Queensland. Now my dream is to track over Western Australia. I, of course, have been an armchair traveler to many of this state’s destinations.

Now, if only in my imagination, off I go!

Planning is my first adventure. Which of this state’s numerous destinations do I choose? Broome sounds fascinating! Yes! Broome it is. For how long? When and what do I do when I get there?

Well, enough of my dream, and boy what a dream! “There’s a big wonderful world out there” Nancy Reagan.

Where’s the next exciting trip you are going to reward yourself with? Perhaps! When you read a book on an African safari. Did this pique your curiosity? Your adventurous spirit. Or a documentary on Alaska? Wrap your winter warmers for this adventure! Or a family member has just returned from — well-you know where? And it’s now your turn! This big/beautiful world welcomes you.

If only in your imagination and dreams. This is okay, too.

I love meeting new people; I think everyone has a story to tell. We should all listen sometimes. Kim Smith

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin

Up, up and away! You take you along with you wherever you go. But, I can promise you one thing. Travel adds to who you are in a very stimulating way. It always has for me! This is another amazing part of exploring our beautiful and amazing world.

Every day you not only get to see new destinations. You meet new people. Paying close attention, you learn something. I have been told, in no uncertain terms, that I am a ‘busy body’. But, this is okay too. I love asking people I meet on my trips oh! so many questions.

For instance here — just for a giggle. I was hiking the Dorrigo National Park with my hubby. Picture this if you can! At a picturesque lookout — two strangers meet. Hubby of course wandered off. I, of course, remained for my usual ‘busy body’ chat. And WOW! This couple was from Canada— near Niagara Falls.

Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you. Frank Lloyd Wright

And even though it was winter — therefore freezing and starting to drizzle. I learned so much about the Falls. May change my mind about getting my passport, you never know?

So, travelling is so much more than seeing new and beautiful destinations. It’s meeting new friends and learning. Always learning! Always growing! This is why I say, you come home a slightly different person from the person you were when you left.

Sounds exciting. It is — believe me. I will never stop asking questions and answering those asked of me. Life is after all a living library, yes?

People must feel that the natural world is important and valuable and beautiful and wonderful and an amazement and pleasure. David Attenborough

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. Anne Frank

I am a member of Amazon Prime pay T.V. Sometimes while having a break for lunch I watch a documentary. At times it breaks my heart at what humankind is doing to our beautiful and amazing home. So many animals are either already extinct or on the endangered list. Many oceans and seas emptying because of man’s greed. Rain forests were slashed and burned and replaced with palm plantations. It makes my blood boil.

Protecting our environment and natural resources is necessary for both our planet and our economy. Sharice Davids

Sooner or later, we will have to recognize that the Earth has rights, too, to live without pollution. What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans. Evo Morales

As a traveler what can we do? Well, we can use our cameras to record what we see if we are concerned.

Then it is entirely up to us to use, as concerned citizens of the earth, what we do with these images.

As a traveller — are we responsible citizens of the earth? Do we leave behind ‘no footprints’? Leaving behind only memories? Making decisions on where we go responsibly? I know I always consider these factors. It doesn’t spoil my journey in any way.

Our world is indeed a wonderful and amazing place. Let us work on keeping it this way. And even improving it where we can.

Whilst living in Port Macquarie for well over 14 years we had a favourite camping spot. This camping spot was quite a distance from the shower block. And over the years we quite proudly improved the track to and from our tent. And we enjoyed doing this too!

Do your little bit of good where your are, it’s these little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world. Desmond Tuto

We have organizations all around the world dedicated to saving this amazing world. Are you a member of one of these life-saving organizations? But this story is about travelers. So I won’t wander.

Let us use our imagination once more for this part, shall we? We have planned and now we have arrived.

Now we are dedicated to making a difference as well as enjoying ourselves. I for one am going to try something completely new for me.

As part of my planning preparation, I researched my destination, Broome, a little more thoroughly than I usually would. I ensured my accommodation was indeed eco-friendly in every sense of the word. Not merely in its advertising campaign. I ensured the dive trips too had no negative impact on the reef. And ensured all my boxes were ticked protecting this little corner of our amazing world.

With our love, we could save the world. George Harrison

What we should be doing is saving habitats, not single species, no matter what their cuteness factor. John Burnside

As we all travel this beautiful and amazing world we must do our very best to protect it.

We are constantly in awe of all things which surround us on our travels, (actual, armchair or imaginary visitors). Protect the rare and diverse animals and the habitats where they survive. Protect the birds which greet us each morning in the rare and unusual trees where they nest and bear their young.

The rare and endangered are calling us for our help!

Only if we awaken the longing within our hearts to keep this beautiful world and all it holds alive. Will we ever truly realize we as humans are also part and parcel of this unique and remarkable world.

Only when we realize we can make a difference!

Only when we realize we will make a difference!

Only when we work together to make a difference!

Travelers marveling at this marvellous planet spreading the word.

Then we will!

Then the world will always be Beautiful and Amazing!!!
