YOUR GO-TO GUIDE FOR MAKING THE MOST OF 3 DAYS IN ROME
Rome has so much to offer in the way of art, architecture, culture, cuisine, and history. Yet, with so much to do or see, it’s easy to feel intimidated or overwhelmed, especially if it’s your first time (or you haven’t visited in a while).

San Francisco Tourism
What is Golden Gate Park? Golden Gate Park is a public space in San Francisco that separates the Richmond and Sunset districts. Golden Gate Park is 1,017 acres of public park space and was created as San Francisco's version of Central Park in New York City. The idea for a similar park to Central Park was first brought up in the 1860s but it wasn't until about 1875 that Golden Gate Park truly became a park. The plan and developments for creating Golden Gate Park was overseen by John McLaren and he served as the superintendent for 56 years.

An Eye-opening Two Weeks in Peru!
Repeat after me… I am constantly attracting positive opportunities and experiences that will guide me to my highest self. I have always been a big “journal” girl. I started writing and speaking this affirmation into existence.. but really I do mean into existence. I got a phone call from one of my best friends, Kristen- Kris for short. Kris and I are on our usual FaceTime call, and her dad pops into the conversation- nothing out of the ordinary at all. That is until he asks me if I am coming with them to Peru. Kristen had brought this travel plan to my attention every so often. We always talked about visiting the places where we each felt at home. For me thats New Jersey and surrounding Philadelphia areas. However, Kristens home is in Peru, where she was born and raised. The idea of traveling to my best friends home country and being able to experience it with her was a dream, but a dream that I needed to save up for. In response to Kris’ dad I let him know that it was a big financial commitment that I was not prepared for, so I explained that I wold love to join them if they went next year! At this point, her dad just said “Hey nick, don’t worry about it”.

Paddleboarding the Colorado River. Top Story - December 2021.
I’m not going to lie, paddleboarding wasn’t something that I was overly familiar with until my last visit to the US. I remember seeing people paddleboarding on the canal in Dublin city centre from time to time, and that was the height of my experience with paddleboarding.

A Quiet Week In Thirsk
I thought I would write about my week in Thirsk. I have to be honest, Thirsk is not the most exciting or spectacular place to visit, but is beautiful and relaxing, and the flat I take in Little Green Mews next to St James' Green is nothing short of perfect. You can see it here

How to Make Money from Writing
I made money from travel writing by accident, but it’s an accident waiting to happen to anyone. After retiring in my 40s, I found I had the time to do what I always wanted to do. Three years later, I self-published my first funny memoir, I know, I'm a slow writer.
