I emerged from the subway station in Ueno with a throbbing headache. Desperate for a nap, I asked around for a cheap hotel. A group of Japanese teenagers was kind enough to lead me to a building that I wouldn't have guessed was a hotel. They told me it was nice and cheap, and that was what I needed. I waved goodbye to them and headed inside.

It was nighttime in Russia. Alexandar and Jennifer walked down the street after a nice dinner and movie. "Jennifer, I really enjoyed our time together", Alexandar said as he kissed the inside of her wrist. A little romantic move that I am sure he used on many American tourists. Jennifer really didn't mind he was tall with black hair and blue eyes. His skin was as soft as the peddle of a rose. His nose was perfect and fit his chiseled face. She had just met him yesterday on one of her walks around the square, but now she wished she had more time. She was leaving to go back to the US tomorrow.

When I joined the board of the Liberace Foundation, I had never been in the Liberace Museum, nor the Liberace Museum Gift Shop. I knew of the museum, but as a young man I had heard that the staff denied that Liberace was gay, or that he had died of AIDS, which I felt did a disservice. Whether or not staffers were actually denying these facts I never found out for myself, but the societal denial surrounding his legacy had a negative feeling about it, and I was, unfortunately, not inspired to visit.

I lived in Paris for a year, and I'm dying to go back. When I lived there in 2018, I was an au pair and an English teacher. I didn't even live in Paris proper. My apartment was in a small suburb on the outskirts of Paris. I worked around 60 hours a week, so I didn't have much time to explore Paris at all. Not to mention I was broke, and Paris can be très cher.

The Ghost Ship of Kentucky
Petersburg, Kentucky isn’t known for much. Aside from the divisive Creation Museum, “a cathedral of willingness ignorance” as one TripAdvisior reviewer wrote, it’s a quintessential small town. Well, it’s not even a town but an “incorporated community,” and there isn’t much drawing tourists here. Paranormal experts and lookie-loos alike put this community on their map because of a supposedly haunted abandoned ship run aground in a backwoods river. The ship blips through the history pages like a nautical Forrest Gump, hosting Edison, Madonna, and two presidents, in addition to helping the fight in both world wars.

Travel - Tempted, Terrified or Not For The Time-Being
OK I am going to admit my feet are seriously itchy and I have been busy travelling during my dreams - infact I've been pretty busy leading tours in my dreams as well. Never in my life have I travelled so little as this year and it is really starting to hurt. However, I am not sure if it is time to start travelling again yet. Whilst I am tempted to travel I still find some aspects of travel a bit of a terrifying thought.
