I Whelve You!

And I mean it...

By KomalPublished about a year ago 1 min read

“I whelve you.”

Yeah, I know, it’s not a word you hear every day, but I like it. It’s a bit deeper than “I love you” and a little lighter than “I care about you,” but it fits in a way that makes sense in my world.

It’s like a mix of feelings, layered up like a perfectly stacked sandwich—sometimes MESSY, but always real.

To "whelve" someone is to feel this sort of balanced overwhelm, like you're so full of thoughts, energy, and emotions that it tips over just the right amount.

Not too much, not too little—just whelming!

It’s about giving someone a space in your life that's not too much to handle, but enough to make everything feel a bit more... meaningful. It’s when you know they’re special, but you’re not going to make it some big dramatic thing.

I whelve you because I’m with you in this easy, no-pressure way, where the little things count just as much as the BIG ones. Whether we’re laughing at something silly or sharing a quiet moment, that’s what it is. It’s not about grand gestures or intense declarations.

It’s just there, in the way I care without expectation, in the way I appreciate you for simply existing.

So, yeah, I whelve you. It’s NOT complicated.

It’s just me saying I’ve got space for you in a way that feels good, comfortable, and genuine. No need for anything too heavy, just a simple, “Hey, you matter.”

‘Welve’ might be deeper than love. We whelve the person so much that we don’t want to make things complicated, we just want to…be, and to let them just… be. Sometimes the intense feeling makes a mess, and it gets too much for both parties. This piece was meditative and intellectually satisfying 👌🏽👏🏽♥️🤗

u always come up with these new and really out of the box words last time it was about a group laugh right (I forgot it ) now its Whelve I guess this might be the root word for "overwhelmed" That makes so much more sense now . hope u come up with more of these

  • Balance, that's something I struggle with. It's either I'm at this end of the extreme or that end. It's either a 100% or 0% with me. Yes, I'm crazyyyyyy, lol. Loved your poem!

This embodies such genuine grace-filled thinking and reflection. Well done! 👏 It feels so right existing with people who understand us. The reason they understand us is because their hearts are like mirrors, in that they are so similar to us.
