Life
Quiet Noise at Night
A shotgun house is what they called it in New Orleans, La. As an only child I was just me and my grandmother. My mother passed away when I was just a toddler at the age of 3 years old. She died from lupus way back in the early 1960's, I was born in 1958. My mother asked her mother/my grandmother to raise me because my mother knew she was not going to be on this earth to raise me.

Celebrating Impact(3): Margaret Mitchell
Which of us has not heard of the thought-provoking iconic movie, Gone With The Wind (1939)? Despite the story being written way back in 1936, the book is still making its mark on society through new generations of avid readers. However, why am I featuring its famous White author in my Black History Month tributes? Simply because I was blown away to learn of her involvement in improving the lives of African Americans in her locality at a time when even looking at a person across the segregated colour divide could cost someone his life!

It is Canadian Thanksgiving day
As Canadians the world over prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, we pause a moment to celebrate with them. "Thanksgiving (French: Action de grâce) or Thanksgiving Day (French: Jour de l'Action de grâce), is an annual Canadian holiday and harvest festival, held on the second Monday in October, which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Outside of the country, it may be referred to as Canadian Thanksgiving to distinguish it from the American holiday of the same name and related celebrations in other regions.

Keeping On A Positive Path
Introduction I often see things or behavior that grates on me in the Facebook groups and think "I should write about that or call that out" but then realize that it just makes me a bit whiney and as bad as the people that I would be calling out.

Please Don’t Use ChatGPT to Make Money Online on Vocal 😢
I can’t believe I am actually saying this. But the AI abuse has gone on for too long and there’s videos outside of the platform that are actively encouraging it. After doing my best to be the decil’s advocate on AI, I don’t think I can do a good job on being that role anymore. Especially when people think it’s okay to use AI just to make a quick buck and take that spot away from somebody who worked work on their story.
